I went to Les Cheveux recently for a cut and it was a disaster. I first booked the appt. (at the urging of my stylist) about a month in advance - at the end of the hair appointment. I showed up the next month at the date/time scheduled (I had called to confirm - they don't give you a courtesy reminder call which I don't like) and everything was fine. I told them my name and that I was there for an appt. with my particular stylist, like scheduled. It was very crowded and loud and the girl behind the counter made me wait 15 minutes - not offering me a drink or somewhere to sit - before she told me that my stylist had gone home for the day and that actually they had no record of me having an appt. scheduled. I was livid - they were rude, uncourteous, and worst of all, they made me feel like they completely did not value my business. I got squeezed in by another stylist who was waiting for color to process on another client - she actually did a fine haircut, but I was so disappointed with the front desk and how my situation was handled that I can't go back. There are too many other high-end salons in Roanoke that I have had a good experience with. Very disappointing!

I was visiting Christiansburg last year and got a massage here. Korena is very talented and I got her signature facial as well which I would highly recommend. This is an evangelical Christian based business but she did not overly proselytize fortunately. All in all, it was a great massage and an even better facial and I would go back.

Polished is a great nail salon with kind people working there and fun services. But I think that the best part of going there is how convenient it is. There are now three locations - so there is surely one closest to your place. And best of all, it is now possible to book an appointment online without ever making a phone call. You get a confirmation email, you get to pick the nail technician, and you get to pick the date/time that is best for you. This salon also gives back to the community by supporting Bethany Hall. I am happy to support Polished by Claire V. and will definitely be back!

This is a great, relaxing spa for the Roanoke area. It's quiet, relaxing and when you walk in, the front desk staff are courteous and accommodating. I have had massages from both Eric and Anna. Eric does a great deep tissue and Anna is good for lighter, effleurage strokes. They have a great deal where when you buy 4 of one service, you get a fifth one free.

I went a couple of times to Plaza 101, mainly because they had a Groupon. The girls there were sweet and kind. It is not as upscale as some of the salons in Roanoke, but I also don't think it's as expensive. Good salon for the price.

This is a great spa/salon. The range of services is good. They always offer you a drink and give great scalp massages prior to services. I've had haircuts there and also a professional make-up application and was happy with both. Definitely one of the nicest salons in Roanoke.
