Highly Recommend!
I Love The Elm, I know they always offer drinks to those getting hair cuts and I'm pretty sure its difficult to drink coffee while getting a massage or facial:) I have had nothing but friendly and polite staff while getting my facials and manicures and I have been going to The Elm for years. This place is great!!! Frankly I wouldn't want to be bombarded by the receptionist with a bunch of questions while trying to check out. I would Highly Recommend the salon as well as the spa!!!

Good Experience
I can only talk about the spa aspect of the Elm. Having been to many boutique spas around the country, I am trying to find one close to where I now live in MN. I will say that my overall experience was good. Being pregnant I wanted a mommy massage (60 min). The massage therapist did a great job explaining everything and was even pregnant herself. Since I'm used to deep tissue massages, this was a little different because of the pregnancy and recommended pressure. She was very professional, I felt great afterwards and offered my a cold bottle of water. The only negative thing I have to say about the salon was the receptionist. When she was at the counter and signed me in, there was no mention or offer of a drink (there was a sign though about what they offered). When I finished with my massage, the massage therapist had told me about a deal for returning customers ($10 off if you pre-book and pay along with a monthly offer), the receptionist was only concerned about taking my money. I even think she miscalculated the 20% gratuity. The receptionist didn't even offer me these two options or even if I wanted to book another appointment. I would recommend additional training in customer service for the receptionist.
