Excellent on All Levels
I've been going to this salon for a dozen years. For the first six or so years I only had mani/pedis and the occasional massage. Once I got tired of trekking downtown to my stylist and colorist, I decided to move my services to Old Orchard. I met with both a new stylist and colorist to discuss exactly what I was looking for. I've been very happy going here with my cuts and color and am getting the same care and expertise as I was at the "chicer" salon. Prices are about the same but I'm saving loads of money on parking and time. A couple times when I had an issue, the manager was very receptive and quickly solved the problem. Some I know complain that it's expensive, but my experience has always been that you get what you pay for, and you certainly do here.

Excellent Service, pricey though
I've been to this spa plenty of times for many different services from hair design, color and texture, waxes and even makeup services. They actually gave me a free makeover when they were done with my spa package. I am always very satisfied with the services they offer, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the services I choose always turn out amazing. I had my hair done for my bat mitzvah done there and it turned out absolutely stunning. Although the services are a bit pricey, it is well worth the customer service as well as the final result. And there are many locations which makes it easy to book an appointment due to your availability. I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone. I always feel completely pampered when I'm done and having a makeover or spa service always makes you feel like a brand new you. Don't forget to tip the people who took care of you that day- they definitely deserve it for their amazing, hard work. (Of course only tip what you feel is necessary for how well the customer service was and how well your treatments were.) (And tip all people involved if there is more than one, especially when someone different washes your hair vs. does your salon experience.)

Inconsistent--not sure the value matches the price tag
I have visited this spa several times over the past few years, as I have received MT gift certificates. I typically redeem for massage, and have had both terrific experiences and so-so. The atmosphere is nice; more basic than luxurious (which is a little surprising, as their pricing leans more upscale). The treatment rooms are on the first level, separated from the salon, so it is peaceful and quiet. I have been generally satisfied with the therapists themselves-- I have had one truly terrific massage, and several "good" ones--the opportunity is more with the front desk. I had one experience with an indifferent-bordering-on-rude receptionist (she seemed irritated that I had a gift certificate), and another amazing service experience (I made an error entering my appointment into my calendar and was 10 minutes late for my service. I fully expected to receive a partial service, but he happily offered to rebook me for 15 minutes later, so that I could get the full 60 minutes of my massage!). I would think that such an established spa would have a more consistent expectation of what the customer experience should be, and seek to deliver a value to the customer that matches the price tag.

Great Original Facial!
I visit this location quite regularly for one reason and one reason only...Magdalena. She is hands down the best esthetician I have encountered. Try an Original Facial with her...you will not be disappointed.

Pricey and not worth it
I stopped by this salon a few months ago for a haircut and style. The stylist was rude, did not hear me out completely and gave me the worst haircut of my life. She then tried to cover up what was a terrible cut by spraying bottles of hairspray until my hair was sticking out in all directions. I have not had great experiences with other Mario Tricoci salons but nothing compares to this one. I would say it is a waste of money and time, notwithstanding it takes months to grow out a bad haircut.

take your money elsewhere
I was the only customer in the entire salon for nearly 2 hours getting a mani/pedi, only because I received a gift certificate. When I went to pay, I was told that my gift certificate was expired (I was told by a manager, that their gift certificates don't expire), and I had to pay $72 for a mani/pedi. I asked for a manager, and of course there wasn't a manager in the building. I called the manager the following morning, and all she could offer me was a "complimentary" manicure (as if I really want to return to this place) I complained to their "guest relations" and also was offered a manicure. I don't want a manicure. What I want is my $72 back!!! It's no wonder I was the only customer in the entire salon, given that they treat their customers with such "appreciation." Thanks Mario Tricoci, thanks a lot!!!

This was a nice place to go... I wouldn't recommend it if you were trying to find some full out glorious spa to go to, but it had everything I needed. I really liked the packaged deals they had which is worth the extra money than just buying a service seperately.
