The perfect place to get pampered
I love this place. Whenever I’m in Ho Chi Minh City, I head for L’Apothiquaire before I do anything else.
There’s an immediate sense of calmness as soon as you enter the premises. The building is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The décor is tasteful and chic, and the staff are professional and attentive.
I’ve tried many of their services; I wouldn’t say ‘no’ to any of them and I would definitely recommend the Renaissance Body Treatment. Basically it’s 90 minutes of blissful body massage and it certainly got rid of my jet lag – sheer heaven! I also love the Soin Essential facial; the therapist I had, Bich, was very knowledgeable and intuitive. She sorted out my skin every time. The Foot Beauty and Treatment Package is a must-have for me. Coming from the UK where my feet are hidden in boots and trainers for much of the year, I get embarrassed when I have to show off my feet in sandals. The treatment transformed my feet and made me feel very pampered afterwards.
When it comes to skin care products, I’m quite choosy but their products really work. I used the Orange Blossom Floral Water spray during the flight home, and it kept my skin soft and moisturised. The A la Rose Anti Ageing Face oil is one of the best I’ve tried. I use it as an overnight serum: it got rid of my fine lines and gives my skin a real glow. I’m addicted to it!
I like the outdoor restaurant: fresh, gorgeous food and juices. Make sure you try some after your treatment.
In terms of what to choose, there is so much on the treatment menu. It can get overwhelming but you can’t go wrong with either a half- or a full-day package. You could easily spend a whole day here and be very well looked after. This is definitely my favourite day spa and I often wish I could transport it back to the UK. You should try it.
