4 Avenue de la Madone BP 19, Monte Carlo, 98007 Monaco
The transformation of the property was complete with the addition of a 21,505-square-foot (2,000 square meters) luxury spa in April 2006. Created with the participation of famous spa-consulting company ESPA, the facility allows guests to book a block of time rather than choosing treatments; therapists customize the experience based on an in-depth consultation. An al fresco heated seawater pool is an additional attraction. After a session at the spa, guests can stroll along the harbor or in the property's Mediterranean-style garden, visit world-class boutiques, or tour Monaco's royal palace, which dates from the 13th century.
SERVICES & CLASSES
Guests descend a wooden staircase to enter the two-level Metropole ESPA Monte-Carlo. The 21,505-square-foot (2,000 square meters) spa encompasses ten treatment rooms (including two suites), a candlelit relaxation room, and a thermal suite consisting of a crystal steam room, ice fountain, sauna, and caldarium. Spa and hotel guests have access to a ground-floor outdoor garden area, complete with a heated outdoor pool and a serene teak sundeck. This area also houses a restaurant and bar serving health-conscious spa lunches and fresh fruit drinks under a canopy of palm trees.
The spa's treatment rooms and VIP suites incorporate natural materials and textures, such as pallasandra wood and slate. ESPA's holistic philosophy is reflected in the treatment menu, which includes signature treatments ranging from the pampering 110-minute Purva Karma four-handed massage to the comprehensive Holistic Back, Face and Scalp Massage with Hot Stones. Spa-goers can also let trained therapists create a personalized sequence of services by arranging for ESPA Time (minimum two hours).
ESPA Rituals include full access to all facilities, spa lunches with freshly squeezed juices, and a series of treatments (including massage, a body treatment, and a facial). Special rituals are available for pregnant women, couples, and mother/daughter pairs.
The state-of-the-art fitness studio's advanced cardio equipment includes treadmills and cross-trainers with built-in televisions. A staff of experienced personal trainers helps guests make the most of their workout.

DINING & FACILITIES
Facilities & Amenities
Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo's luxury services (24-hour room service, butlers, concierges, etc.) allow guests to explore Monte-Carlo stress-free. A nanny is available to supervise half-day trips for children to the Monaco Zoo (using a hotel-provided car), leaving parents free to enjoy spa treatments or bask by the heated seawater pool.
To maximize their time on the Cote d'Azur, guests can take advantage of "Just for You," the hotel's seasonally shifting recreational itinerary. Five different schedules are available year-round, one for couples, sports enthusiasts, gourmands, art lovers, and adventurous travelers alike. Encompassing all Monaco has to offer, these may include such spring/summer activities as deep-sea fishing off the Mediterranean coast, race-car driving lessons, and swimming with dolphins. In winter, guests can enjoy a ride on an old-fashioned sled pulled by dogs and a tour of a village in Provence.
Travelers who prefer less structure will benefit from the hotel's central location on Casino Square in the heart of Monte-Carlo. Dating from 1878, the Casino de Paris(immortalized in James Bond films) is just steps away, as is the Café de Paris, a brasserie frequently visited by Monte-Carlo's most fabulous denizens. More than 80 designer stores are within easy walking distance, among them Prada, Gucci, Christian Dior, and Chanel.
After exploring the hotel's expansive Mediterranean gardens, nature lovers can view several thousand varieties of subtropical flora at the nearby Exotic Garden or traditional Asian landscaping at the 23,000-square-foot Japanese Garden.
