SERVICES & CLASSES
In a 400-meter, five-treatment-room space, Casa Spa has created a homey, relaxing ambience infused with Costa Rica’s convivial warmth. An earthy color palette and soft candlelight add to the calm vibe, as do the tropical garden and ocean surroundings. Upon arrival, spa-goers are greeted with a cup of freshly brewed tea.
Treatments include Germain de Cappucini facials, Biosfera body treatments, Los Cumiches Massage (kids’ chocolate massage), and honey orange and avocado wraps, balanced by signature rituals like the romantic Nandayure’s Passion. Ideal for couples and honeymooners, the treatment is inspired by a Costa Rican love/beauty goddess and incorporates a brown sugar and vanilla scrub, a 60-minute full-body massage, and bath infused with lily of the valley and honeysuckle extracts.

Facilities & Amenities
Aside from its spa, a highlight of Hotel Punta Islita is its 250-square-meter infinity pool and slightly larger free-form pool bordered by the powdery white-sand beach and manicured tropical gardens. One deck below the infinity pool is a 100-square-meter fitness center, overlooking the ocean cove.
When not swimming or sunbathing in the Costa Rica sunshine, guests can indulge in eco adventures of all types. Outdoorsy travelers will enjoy 10 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, two tennis courts, and the nine-hole Islita Golf Course; more relaxed activities for nature-loving enthusiasts include howler monkey and bird watching quests.
Among the hotel’s amenity highlights is the chance to embrace the local culture via Tico coking sessions with the hotel chef, guided tours of the Islita community, and art projects with area artists. In the nearby region, trips to sightseeing spots like Camaronal Beach—ideal for sea turtle watching!—and the Ara Project Red Macaw Recovery and Release Center—provide added memorable experiences.

Rooms & Dining
Hotel Punta Islita has a tiered, open-layout concept that takes advantage of the property’s hilltop locale. A majority of the guest rooms are located on the upper levels: standard, deluxe, junior and one-bedroom suites, and two-bedroom villas; three-bedroom villas are scattered throughout the 80-acre grounds. Thoughtful interiors blend native and Spanish colonial touches with a tropical twist, accented by local artwork and hammocks, perfect for a mid-afternoon siesta. Select rooms have outdoor whirlpools, and villas feature full kitchens and private plunge pools.
1492 Restaurant’s Chorotega-meets-colonial design fosters an authentic, eclectic vibe, complemented by unique cuisine that merges Costa Rican and international flavors with fresh, indigenous ingredients. Guests can also head to the beachside Borrancho Restaurant, which serves casual light fare, seafood specialties, and ceviche dishes paired with cool tropical cocktails.
