About St. Pancras Spa

Prepare yourself. At one of London’s most distinctive spas, the revitalisation of mind and body is as breathtaking as the restoration of the hotel. In rooms themed to echo the most luxurious bathing environments of Victorian England (with Roman touches, in honour of Saint Pancras), rare and exotic treatments using the world’s most sought-after products will soothe, stimulate and invigorate. The city will feel like a million miles away.

Within the spa itself is a Victorian tiled relaxation pool with hydro loungers, which creates a sophisticated and tranquil oasis. The six treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite, are completed with king sized heated beds equipped for total sensory transportation and a personal Spa Butler is on hand for every guest. Other facilities in the spa include a traditional sauna, a therapeutic steam room and a relaxation lounge for guests to unwind in between treatments. St Pancras Spa’s unique, holistic experiences are designed around Journeys, from an English Garden through to Africa, with each journey being tailor-made to reflect the destination of your choice.

After an extensive six-year restoration, it was with great excitement that St Pancras Renaissance Hotel opened its doors on 5th  May 2011, 138 years to the day since the original hotel, the Midland Grand Hotel, opened in 1873. Originally built as the station hotel to the Midland Railway’s then recently completed St Pancras Station, one of the most eminent architects of the Victorian-age, Sir George Gilbert Scott, can be credited with its extraordinary design. Its Gothic Revival style is still considered by  many  to  be  the finest example of  this  type of  architecture in  Britain today.

The  hotel  re-opened as  St  Pancras Renaissance Hotel to huge fanfare following 76 years of closure.  The world had been waiting to see the results of this extraordinary restoration and they weren’t disappointed: the magnificently renovated Grand Staircase, the jewel in the crown of the restoration, once again welcomes visitors down its cantilevered floors; the Booking Office bar & restaurant is open in the station’s former ticket hall; Marcus Wareing has taken the reins in the hotel’s other restaurant, The Gilbert Scott; and some of London’s largest and most beautiful suites can be found in The Chambers, the original, historic part of the hotel, which also incorporates the exclusive Chambers Club.  A newly created 120,000 ft² extension, Barlow House, contains a further 207 bedrooms.
