Each and every day, we are introduced to tons of new gadgets and gizmos that are aimed at making life easier. In honor of the 2013 International CES Show (Consumer Electronics Show) we’ve rounded up cool, yet LOL-inducing gadgets and gizmos that will make your life easier. From slicing a banana to making a breakfast sandwich to getting a massage – these five gadgets will leave you wondering, “Why didn’t I think of that?!”
The Hamilton Beach 25475 Breakfast Sandwich Maker
We’ve all been there, frying an egg, sizzling up some sausage, toasting our English Muffins and thinking to ourselves as our pans get dirty and our stomach rumbles, “There has got to be an easier way.” Well, even if you personally haven’t had the said breakfast conundrum, there is in fact an easier way to make a breakfast sandwich. Hamilton Beach has unveiled the 25475 Breakfast Sandwich Maker, which delivers a pork roll* egg and cheese (or whatever floats your morning boat) in just five minutes. It toasts the bread, holds in heat, and cooks a fresh egg perfectly – just slide it all out, put in on a plate and enjoy!

HAPIfork by Jacques Lépine
The electronic HAPIfork helps you monitor and track (read: share) your eating habits. Each time you bring the HAPIfork from your plate to your mouth, a.k.a. a “fork serving,” it tracks how long it took you to eat your meal, as well as the amount of fork servings per minute and the intervals between fork servings. The best (or worst?) part is that all of this information is uploaded via USB to the HAPILABS app, where you can track your progress; utilize a coaching program; save your “HAPImoments” with pictures, videos, and comments; and share all your HAPImoments online with friends. The HAPIfork leaves us wondering one thing: What happens if we want soup?

WheeMe Massage Robot by DreamBots
Why go to the spa when you could have your very own Mars Rover replica massage robot at home? That’s certainly what the innovators over at DreamBots were thinking when they created the WheeMe massage robot. And, I mean really, why didn’t we think of this? Perfect for when you’re just lying around watching TV – the palm-sized robot gently moves across your body in one of three massage modes, massaging as it goes with its four small wheels and rotor finger. While we can’t say WheeMe could ever make us turn our back to an honest-to-goodness trained massage therapist – we are certainly intrigued.

Williams Sonoma Fruit and Vegetable Tools
Before you get the wrong idea, no, we’re not throwing all of Williams Sonoma fruit and vegetable tools into the wacky gadgets category but we must include their kitchen tools aimed to help you slice-and-dice pineapples, avocados, peaches, strawberries, bananas, um, we really could go on. Yes, I’ll admit, each and every one of these items was on my registry – because why would I just use a knife when I could have a super cute, color-coordinated gadget to help me dice a banana? Exactly; I wouldn’t, and now, neither will you.
