Founders Gary and Diane Heavin opened the first Curves club in 1992 and are considered innovators in the industry for designing the first circuit fitness concept for women that combines strength training and sustained cardiovascular activity—all in 30 minutes.

Today, with nearly 7000 clubs in more than 85 countries serving millions of members, Curves continues to be an innovator. In September of 2011, Curves launched the Curves Complete program which combines diet, exercise, and motivation in a unique comprehensive program.
