About Whiteface Lodge
Guests of The Whiteface Lodge arrive to find a rustic-chic, resort nestled amidst the Adirondack Mountains in Lake Placid, New York. Inspired by the area's storied Great Camps and built in part with timber hand-milled on-site, the Whiteface Lodge has 92 multi-bedroom suites that feature handcrafted Adirondack furnishings and other regional décor. The Spa at The Whiteface Lodge also takes cues from the local area, offering a variety of treatments targeted to outdoor enthusiasts, some of which use locally sourced ingredients. The resort's state park setting, and Lake Placid's heritage as a past Winter Olympics host, makes it an ideal spot for a variety of outdoor activities.

Activities
Winter sports are a big draw in the area, with the Adirondacks and Lake Placid's Olympic facilities (the town hosted the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games) affording the opportunity to partake in skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice fishing. The resort has a seasonal ice skating rink, as well. There is plenty to do in the warmer months, too, such as sunbathing on the resort's private beach, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, tennis, and hiking and biking in the nearby mountains. Golfers can play a round on three local courses.
At the resort, families can play in the game room, go bowling, watch a movie at the 54-seat cinema, and enjoy the nightly bonfire. The Kamp Kanu kids club organizes nature- and outdoor-inspired programming daily. A fitness center and indoor/outdoor pool are also available on-site, and the resort offers meeting and event space.
