I went today for the first time and had the most pleasant experience. The young ladies gave me both a wonderful facial and massage.The atmosphere was peaceful and quite with soft piano music in the background. Megan gave me the facial and didn't have to tell me every step she was taking, I just relaxed and enjoyed her work. I don't remember the girls name that gave me the massage, but she was very aware when the pressure was too much for me and changed the type of massage I was having. I am a wimp. I will be back again and I will tell my friends. Thanks. Kathy Y.

I had received a coupon for a free microdermabrasion with any treatment at the Farmers Market. So the day before my birthday I headed in. The owners husband did my massage and he was by far the best I have experienced. He didn't try and chit chat with me, and had great hands with the perfect amount of pressure. It was the best I have relaxed in years. I then had my facial with a very friendly lady and enjoyed chatting with her. She was very knowledgeable. Although she did say that the treatment wouldn't bring out my blemishes and it did, but I was able to cover it with makeup and my skin had an amazing glow. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a low score is because when I went they had no AC so i was sweating during my massage but it helped to relax me. During the facial however it was a little uncomfortable. From the pictures it looks like the place has been spruced up a bit. I will definitely return especially if they offer great deals like that again.

I received gift certificates for Christmas and chose this spa because of the great reviews. I went to the livermore location on 4th street and when I pulled up I was concerned I was at the wrong place. The location looks like somebody's house and upon walking in, was about the same. The lobby had a fireplace which was nice but overall the atmosphere felt like a cheap nail salon. The staff was courteous and offered me tea or water while I was waiting which was nice but overall the location was not a very inviting, warm or welcoming feeling. I received my massage and was very pleased with the massage and my therapist Katie. Afterwards though when I went to pay she tried to charge me $10 more than what I was quoted. I told her what the correct price was and she told me I was wrong and I told her what it was online and what they also quoted me on the phone. She finally gave me the correct price but I was dissappointed at that point and did not want to return. I am not one to want to haggle a price so this made me feel very uncomfortable. Nice place but not worth the money.

We apologize for any misunderstanding and we are glad that you ended paying the correct amount. We are also glad that you enjoyed your massage with Katie. She is definitely one of our best therapist. We always appreciate feedback, we believe is the best way to learn. A lot of business in Livermore are homes converted into commercial property and that's part of the charm of Livermore downtown area. Almost all the business surrounding us are converted houses. As a matter of fact, the city won't let you change many of the houses as part of their conservation efforts. We have received great feedback from everyone of our customers regarding our building, after all is a beautiful Victorian house from 1912, they liked the white leather furniture, the bench style glass bowl pedicure chairs (American made), the custom lighting, the burning fireplace, the Italian custom tile and of course the six exclusive parking spots for our customers. We are sorry that you didn't find any of those features appealing. We sincerely have put every effort to satisfy our customers, but we also understand that everybody has their own opinion, and we absolutely respect that. Wonderful Massage

I had a wonderful massage at Dollface yesterday. The converted house had a quaint little sitting room, with a warm inviting fire. I was greeted right away and offered water or hot tea. I was a little disappointed because my appointment was at 10:30 and didn't start until nearly 11:00, but I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage and it was one of the best I've ever had. Alberto did an amazing job. I would definitely go back, and would recommend them to friends and family.

My stress is melted away...absolutely gone, no more headache, no more tension...all gone! My trip to Dollface Spa was a fluke. I had just gotten off work and had been wanting to get a massage for weeks since I'd been traveling a lot but just never made the time to book an appt and when I tried to at another spa they were booked for 2 days! So I looked on the Spafinder app on my iphone and found Dollface first. I called to find out when they were closing (630pm) and if they had anymore openings for the afternoon, it was 415pm when I called driving home from work. The gal on the phone said yes they could fit me in at 530pm. So I made it to my appt by 530pm...it was very easy to find and the building was noticable from the street, ample parking (even if I was the only customer parked in the small lot,, there was street parking too) and it was an old house that was converted into a spa. Too cute! So I was now entering heaven...Albert explained that he would be doing deep tissue work to help me relieve my stress and hopefully make my headache go away. It was the longest 60 mins of my life (which during a massage is WONDERFUL!) I think I was completely asleep at one point and the pressure was perfect for my tired shoulders and back. What a wonderful place and I plan to go back very soon and refer them some more happy customers. Kudos to the staff at Dollface!!!!

I drive past the spa everyday, so when I discovered I could use my spafinder gift certificates there, I was excited. Beautiful front waiting room. I was offered tea or water while I waited for my appointment. My massage was fabulous. I never wanted it to end! He worked out my problem areas and paid close attention to everything he did. I had a spafinder gift certificate and living in Fremont, this was one of the closest places I could find to use it. I was suprised how small the place was, but the owners were excellent in both customer care and attention. I haven't had a massage by a man before, so I was little hestitant. But WOW! Albert really delivered! I haven't had that good of a massage in a long time. I had a deep tissue massage and he worked my problem areas with expert technique, and finished off with small touches that made me feel very relaxed. I would travel to Livermore again just for this level of excellence.

Great pregnancy massage

I recently had a 90 minute pregnancy massage at Dollface. When I booked the appointment I asked for a femail therapist but was told by the receptionist that the owner's husband was the best therapist they had and they really recommended I see him. I agreed and was pleasantly surprised that he made me feel very comfortable. His skill level was excellent. It was clear he was aware of the differences between a pregnancy massage and a normal massage. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to get several bed pillows that they could change the covers on between clients. As a 7 month pregnant woman, it can be tricky get comfortable. They had one small pillow and a blanket that I was able to position against my side but sveral bed pillows would make for a slightly better experience. I look forward to going back for another massage.

I recently went to this spa for an hour massage aftre reading the other reviews on SpaFinder! They started a bit late because of some issues with the heater, but while they dealt with that, I filled out the questionaire. Once the massage started, I was completely relaxed and enjoyed every moment of the massage. I can't wait to have another opportunity to go back!

I had a facial from Shawna who is fairly new there. She really understood that this is supposed to be an experience. She didn't chat through the facial, she was nurturing and exceptionally skilled. While the mask was on she massaged my shoulders and arms. It really was the perfect facial. I give Dollface (and Shawna) my highest recommendation!

I didnt know that they had a fulltime salon expert onsite. Went in to get a cut and color done,and met with Tina. She gave me a full consultation, discussing all my options. Very professional, with many years of experience. Loved my hair and she saw in me something I did not.....what a confidence builder....very reasonably priced also. Great Atmosphere...ask for Tina

I don't usually make the time to post any kind of a "review" but I wanted to pass along what a wonderful experience I had at "dollface" spa and beauty in Livermore Ca. The only reason I found this spa was because I had been given a SPAFINDER gift certificate for my birthday and went onto their website to see who in my area honored these cards. When I called to book my massage, Christina Aguilar, the owner, told me about a unique Infrared Sauna they had and recommend I may want to take advantage of that prior to my massage. When I arrived for my appointment, Albert Aguilar, the Massage Therapist and Christina's husband, gave me a tour of the spa and background on the sauna. I have to say that although I have been in many saunas, the piped in music sure made the time fly. I was surprised at how much I was sweating and how great it felt. At the end of the 30 minutes, I went into the massage room and Albert began my 60 minute "Signature" massage. I can't give the Infrared sauna all the credit, but having my muscles warmed up - and Albert's wonderful technique - were a winning combination for one of the most glorious massages I have ever had! Albert paid extra attention to the areas that were giving me some trouble (neck, hamstrings, and calves) - yet even had time to massage my scalp and forehead at the end. I really appreciated the fact that Albert used a variety of massage techniques. It was a unique approach that I - and my body - responded well to! Overall, it was wonderful experience and I am so pleased that we have such a special spa here in Livermore to call our own! Christina and Albert - welcome to the neighborhood!

I was invited by my girl friend to spend a spa day in Livermore. I was excited about checking out some wineries, vineyards and visiting dollface. I was very impressed with the couples facials we got. Oh my god... I never felt my skin so clean, healthy and smooth before. The use my favorite brand; dermalogica. As part of our spa day, we used the far infrared sauna, which was very nice, because we got to relax and talk for about half an hour. By the time we were done, my muscles were ready for a massage. I love to heat in my muscles, so this was great for me. We also did couples massage, it was just perfect. Last time I received a massage like that I was in my honeymoon. I loved the place, is very cute, and clean. Good taste in decoration. We didn't expected, but they had strawberries, grapes and other snacks for us. The staff was attentive, experienced and professional.

I went here with a friend and they screwed up almost everything! We waited more than half an hour, they had us down for a couples massage which I explictly told them we would not want [we're close friends but we're not that close! which is exactly what I told them when I made the reservation], they asked about some odd sauna service that I never asked for, we asked if they could turn the fan on in the waiting room since we were sitting there for so long and the owner did not even know how to do it! Fortunately my massage therapist was great so it was not a complete waste of a trip to Livermore. Nice people but they need help.

I really can't wait to go back. I literally feel like this is a place where I can go and take a break from everyday life (stress, worries, tension). I travel a lot, so I can appreciate having a place like dollface in town. I tried other places in town, but I prefer this place because is very clean, organized, current and professional. I recommend their signature massage and facial, that's what we got during our last visit.

I had a wonderful experience. This place is cute and unique. I felt very pleased with all the services I got and the professionalism of the staff. My massage was top of the line, really good touch. I was late a few minutes, so I had about 45 mins left of massage according to my appointment time, but I was pleased to learn that the 60 minutes actually start when your massage starts and not when you get there... so I got 60 minutes of massage! I didn't know that they had a sauna, so they told me that I was welcome to use it and that it was complementary for first time customers. So I used their sauna room for about 30 minutes after the massage. By the time I was done, I was super relaxed. I am definitely going back, next time I am trying a facial.
