Convenient and relaxing. I was able to book an appointment for a pedicure same day, which was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the service was just what I needed after a crazy day at the office!

Waxing services and pedi
I've been to the Amenity Day Spa for waxing services and a pedicure. Both services were perfect. Reid performed my bikini wax and she was very professional, friendly and kept me talking so that I wouldn't think about the pain. :) The pedicure was fabulous! I love having my feet pampered but not tickled and the woman did a great job. I will be returning at the end of July for a facial, massage and another pedi. Will write another review for that visit since I will be getting additional services. Can't wait!!!!

This was my first time going to this spa so I wasn't sure what to expect. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. I sampled a wide array of services and all were really incredible. Everything from the Rose and Champagne Bath to the Ginger Lime Salt Scrub to the Hot Stone Massage to the 24 Karat facial which Patty (who is one of the owners) applied while I basked in the warm glow of the fireplace. Chelsea was also a very experienced aesthetician and really works to make sure you get the massage experience your looking for. i really look forward to my next experience at this spa and have recommended it to friends who found it extremely pleasant.

The best in the area
I will preface my review by noting that I have been a regular spa customer for many years in many cities from Denver, Scottsdale, San Francisco and other major metropolitan areas, never have I been as satisfied as I am with the care and superb service, which is consistently exhibited as at this day spa. I have been going to this day spa since the summer of 2007. Beginning with my initial visit and continuing with the monthly facials, I have always felt the staff and skin care specialists have given me the utmost in proper attention and advice concerning my daily skin care regimen. Due to a chronic skin condition, I have received several IPL treatments and follow up treatments, and my skin has never looked better. With each visit, from the minute I walk in until the minute I leave, I am treated with the care I expect any customer would desire. Some may consider this spa a little pricey, but, in my opinion,with each visit, I get what I pay for and then some. I highly recommend this day spa to everyone.

Gradual Decline! Go Elsewhere!
My mom and I have been going to Amenity Day Spa for each of our birthdays over the past 4 years. The first year was great; unfortunately, the services, length of massages and pedicures, and overall experience has gradually declined from year to year. They rush you through pedicures (and rub WAY too hard). The masage therapists are mediocre but not for the prices this place tries to charge. If you choose Amenity, it won't be the worst experience of your life, but I promise it won't be the best.

My husband gets me the Spa Finder certificates. This is one of the few places w/in a 10 mile radius that does pedicures so I use them there. Every single time I've been there there's been problems: extremely unfriendly pedicurist, charged me twice for serivces and gave me grief about refunding the overcharge, a 45 minute pedicure done in under 30 minutes, to name a few. Never going back again.

I was really surprised to see the bad reviews for this spa. I've never had a problem here in the 5 years I've been receiving massages here. It's a great place for men to get a massage. I've always felt comfortable here. The front desk staff was excellent during my most recent visit on 2/22. And Stephanie gives a great deep-tissue massage.

Excelloent Experiences at Amenity Day Spa, Across the Board
Amenity has been my preferred spa for >3 years. The staff turnover rate is of some concern; yet, I have had good Body Treatment and Massage Therapy experiences from Nicole, Beth, Amber and Chelsey, all of whom have been very skilled, knowledgeable about different types of muscle work, body scrubs and wraps. I have been given a Christmas present to experience their Four Hands massage on December 31st, with Chelsey and Jen, who is new to me; but, highly recommended by Chelsey, whose judgment I've grown to trust. So, I am truly looking forward to that Ginger-Lime Scrub by Chelsey, then the Four Hands massage by Chelsey and Jen. Amenity's services menu is quite varied, with many options for different massages, wraps and scrubs. I found Amenity's physical facilities very comfortable and relaxing, their procedures relaxed and soothing, their staff congenial and helpful, including the front desk people I've interacted with, and found Patty, a co-owner, to be helpful the one time a new receptionist needed assistance in scheduling my next procedures. I highly recommend Amenity Day Spa for an excellent experience. Paul I.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!!!
Do yourself a favor and avoid this spa. Owners have run this place into the ground. Used to be rated in Washingtonian Magazine every year, but not recently. They used fake rose petals for a rose petal massage and tried to charge over $100. All the good people have moved on so don't waste your time here.

Great Services, Rude Front Desk
I had an appointment for a pedicure and brow wax on a Saturday in mid-April 2010. It was my second and last visit to this spa. I came from Reston, and traffic on Route 7 was terrible - I was 7 minutes late for my appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist and two other staff members were waiting for me at the front desk, and confronted me as though I was a teenager late for curfew. When I told her that I was only 7 minutes late, she actually argued back, and said that no, I was not 7 minutes late, but more than 10! She then told me that my brow wax would be impossible since I was late, and actually had the nerve to ask if I would like to reschedule to keep from having to pay for it anyway! (They did end up doing it.) While the services at Amenity are good, and the prices reasonable, getting yelled at by the receptionist is not the way to begin a spa visit. I will return to Aveda at Reston Town Center - they may be a bit more expensive, but at least they have never yelled at me.

While the salon itself has nice decor and is relaxing, the service is horrible. They are snobby and acts like they don't need anyone's business. Plus, buyer beware - I bought my mother a gift certificate from here. She called to make an appointment and she had it for over 3 months. They wouldn't give her the full value of it!!! They said their gift certificates have a declining balance if they aren't used right away. In this market, who would try to lose customers?

I have been going to Amenity for several years. I enjoy the friendly staff and services they provide. Being taken into a relaxhing room prior to the service, having a beverage, and feeling relaxed are what you can expect from this spa. Cindy is the best and certainly knows how to treat her clients. I highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a one time relaxing visit or a permanent home for your spa services.

Update to my previous review
Update to my previous review. The owner reached out and provided comped services to my group as well as a personal apology. Most importantly, she said it wouldn't happen again. So, we gave it another shot and had a great experience. I'm hopeful that it's taken care of and I can continue to go to Amenity. Kudos to Patty at Amenity for handling this so well. Good customer service, especially after an "incident," is a very rare find and definitely makes a "2nd chance" a good idea.

Great Services; Terrible Customer Service
I've been a client of Amenity for 5 years and have had small issues with the receptionist area here and there. In July, I had a TERRIBLE experience and was treated horribly. I've complained via their online survey as well as written letter and received no response. I must say that the massage therapists and the other ladies performing services do a wonderful job - the issue is purely with their receptionists. Great spa as long as you never have any issue and don't mind a little rudeness at the front desk.

Awesome SPA experience!
Booked multiple treatments and received all the services in one room, I loved that I didn't have to go to 3 didn't people for my treatments. The mud wrap was awesome! Very clean, quiet, relaxing, and nice atmosphere! Even the restrooms were nice with amenities too.

Beautiful mani/pedi, best waxing!
The first time I went to Amenity, it was without an appointment on a weekday whenI just happened to have some free time. They had a nail tech there within 20 minutes. While I was waiting, I was offered my choice of beverages and they actually had magazines that were up to date and plentiful! I received the best hand and foot massages ever. Their little pedicure room is really something special, and with the lights turned down low I probably would have fallen asleep after a few minutes more. The second time I went, I had an appointment, and was brought back as soon as I got there for my eyebrow wax/shaping. The tech really took her time and talked to me, and looked at my face and the way my brows grew. Truly the best brow wax I've ever gotten, and 2 weeks later I'm still happy with it!

Completely Relaxing Experience
I walked into Amenity Day Spa after a 3 hour airplane ride ready to collapse. The minute I walked in I automatically began to feel more relaxed. The cheery front desk staff was quick to greet me and ask to take my coat. They quickly and discreatly went over my services and then walked to back to the "relaxation area", where I sat on plush furniture and was given a beverage menu with many choices to pick from. My services started promptly and my massage therapist was extremely thorough in my history and focused on every area that we had talked about. As my massage was over my therapist walked me down the hall, giving me suggestions on how to keep my tired muscles happy. I then went and had a spa pedicure, which was heaven. The quiet and secluded pedicure room was a welcome change from traditional nail salons. As I sipped my hot tea with honey and listen to the soothing music, I could not imagine being any other place. I would definatly recommend Amenity to anyone! I will be back to further my spa expierence. The staff is friendly, the services awesome, and the facility beautiful!!
