About Inn at Bay Harbor - A Renaissance Golf Resort
Set along five miles of shoreline on Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay, the Inn at Bay Harbor - A Renaissance Golf Resort offers a romantic and relaxed elegance. The inn's Victorian-style design and gracious hospitality recall turn-of-the-century inns of northern Michigan. Awarded accolades such as one of Travel + Leisure's "Top 500 World's Best Hotels," the property features an award-winning restaurant, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool overlooking Lake Michigan, 134 guest rooms and suites, and ample meeting and event venues. After hitting the links at one of the four championship golf courses on-site, guests can head to the full-service spa and salon. Nearly 20 miles of hiking and bike paths run adjacent to the property, and guests have access to nearby sailing and swimming in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

There are seven treatment rooms in the 7,000-square-foot spa, including a private couple's suite and a nail suite, in addition to a spa boutique, fitness center, and café. Offerings include manicures and pedicures, massage, facials, waxing services, and body treatments such as wraps, bronzing, and exfoliation. The full-service salon provides hair services for men, women, and children. During the summer months, spa goers can head to the beach and lakeside grounds, where they can take a dip in the outdoor pool or lounge on hammocks.

Equine Journey
Jun 16, 2012 12:00 AM — Jun 16, 2012 12:00 AM Maryellen Werstine and Erin Halloran
Take a day's journey with us to explore the possibilities of awareness through Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning (FEEL). Horses will be our teachers and co-instructors. These sensitive animals respond to positive and negative changes in our body language and behavior. In turn, they mirror or reflect the emotions and energy of those around them. Learn more about your nonverbal cues, unconscious behavior patterns, and how you present yourself to others. Horses live in the present moment and do not have judgments or ideas about who you are, what you are, or how you should be. Your actions are more powerful than words. Join us to develop trust and intuition as you discover new pathways and possibilities in your life. Workshop Includes: • 8-hour Equine Experience at the world-class Bay Harbor Equestrian Club • Lunch and snacks • Course material • Instructional hands-on experience • Round trip transportation from The Inn at Bay Harbor to Bay Harbor Equestrian Club • $40 credit toward spa or salon services at The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor
