Fit but not beautiful

Having visited several of the other Champney's facilities I was a little disappointed with the lack of ambience in this modern setting. Having said that the quality of the food, rooms and treatrments was probably as good. A hiccup over the bill on checkout slightly spoilt the trip unfortunately. Dealt with by the reception staff but not gracefully.

I visited this spa three times and would go again. The rooms are cozy, the grounds are nice to walk around, especially in good weather and the best thing is the food - plenty of choice and good quality. Sitting around the pool all day, popping in and out of steam rooms - it's like a mini beach holiday. Thallasotherapy pool is highly recommended. The 25 minute treatments included in the offer are a bit 'weak' if you know what I mean, go for 55 minute ones. In general the treatments are more about relaxation. But the spa itself, even without any treatments, is perfectly enjoyable.

A wonderful two day break

We stayed at Champney Springs in September 2010 and had a wonderful time. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was fantastic - for breakfast and lunch they operated a buffet style service with lots of choice of healthy foods. We really were impressed by the food on offer. Our package came with two inclusive treatments (Head in the Clouds and a Body Wrap). Both were relaxing and the staff were friendly and professional. We didn't use any of the fitness classes but there was a good choice and a gym. The pool was lovely - we spent a lot of time sat by the pool, relaxing and reading! We loved our time there so much that we are booking to go again this Autumn. It was a truly relaxing experience.

Amazingly relaxed...

I have spent two three day breaks at springs this year and have found it is consistently good. The food is always excellent and of a very high standard- eating healthily has never been made so easy. The grounds are lovely for relaxing in and raeding a book in the sunshine by the well kept lakes. I will definately visit Springs again and find that Champneys in general treat their guests exceptionally.
