The five-star Carlton Hotel, originally built in 1913 and reopened following a major renovation in 2007, is an all-suite property that combines the traditional elegance of its past with contemporary amenities. Although arguably best known for its skiing, St. Moritz is a popular retreat that offers adventure seekers year-round recreational pursuits. The host city for both the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics, St. Moritz attracts fitness enthusiasts of all levels, with opportunities for hiking, cycling, and jogging during the summer months and—in addition to skiing and cross-country skiing— snowboarding, sledding, and ice-skating.
