GO ! for beautiful scenery, finest food and some spa too!
This is a secret in the Poconos.. a top of the line Resort and Spa.. I am a nyc girl.. who knows really great dining.. and I can't top the meals I enjoyed during my French Manor stay. Great massages and facials in the most congenial atmosphere. The owners and every member of the staff is cordial, generous, pleasant and informative. There are nature trails, a pool, gorgeous views.. the finest food and lovely suites as well. . with fireplace. GO .. and enjoy in every way.

Not worth the money
We looked forward to a getaway and were extremely disappointed. Upon walking up to our room, we were greeted with the smell of garbage which drew our attention to the left where the office and kitchen were housed and the door to the side was open and all garbage was visable. We opened the door to a nice room but the carpet was very stained and old. We were required to have dinner or spa treatment in order to get a second night free. The food was very good but extremely overpriced and the service extremely slow. We were asked if we wanted tap, still or carbonated water. We got the carbonated and later found they charged us $7 for the water, which we found to be tacky. The breakfast that came with the room was good and ironically they served tap water and never asked if we had a preference probably because we weren't paying extra. After getting home, I realized that the room rate was higher than advertised. I called and they told me that it was a gratuity and said that the staff would appreciate the additional gratuity and it was on the materials provided. It was noted on the reservation, however I had missed it so WATCH OUT for that if you decide to stay there.

Not so Great
The web view was awesome. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very cordial. When we were brought to our room, we were first greeted with broken floors pots at the entrance way. We then walked into the room, we were immediately greeted by an incredibly dirty carpeting along with dirt spots through-out the room. Management offered of us another room but wasn't much better. Food was ok. Would not go back again.

Mediocre at best
I went here with a few girls for a spa day and wasn't impressed. They only had two pedicure chairs, so only two girls could get pedicures at a time. The pedicures were very overpriced. The bathroom was really a stall with three small lockers. Only one girl could change at a time. We ordered the spa lunch which at $17.50 a person was a rip off and was disgusting. No one ate it and we had to go out after. On a positive note, the massage I had was excellent! All in all, I would not go back.

Pennsylvania'a secret hideaway
My experience at The French Manor was so much more than I expected. Everything from the rooms, spa services and the food. Who thought that such an awesome place could be found in the Pocono Mts. of Pennsylvania.

Greatest Escape
I had the pleasure of staying at the French Manor and getting a pedicure at the spa. The atmosphere was as peaceful and relaxed as could be, & the staff was excellent as well...I felt like I had a new pair of feet after my pedi! I also have to add that I had dinner & breakfast at the manor as well- a great selection of dishes, and I am positive that I haven't had a better tasting breakfast or dinner! ( and I'm a foodie!) the food is absolutely incredible! The French Manor & Spa definitely allowed for the greatest escape from every day busy life!

overpriced
I had several spa packages in my life...this is absolutely overpriced for the service done for me. The spa is in breath taking place but that is all...The spa service was very basic and for package like this,I paid a half of The French Manor Spa price in other place in Poconos. 30 minute massage $ 25 in Stroudsburg Pa The French Manor charges for 50 minutes $90--- 90 minutes facial with deambrosion in MT Pocono on Sterling Rd $65(excellent!!!) -French Manor 60 minutes-$ 105!And they just gently touch you face ...you are not able to feel it :-)So most of my black heads enjoyed it-they stayed when they was!I will not comment rest of it... What I can say is;,for price i paid i could add hair cut and styling with highlights, algies body wrap with vibrosaun and have very nice lunch with friend!Watch you packet!!!!

Read before you judge
Please don't let the lower stars deter you from experiencing this spa or this facility. The French Manor Inn is VERY ROMANTIC! The views are spectacular whether from your room or the dining area. I stayed in a spa suite which I believe is fairly new. It is located over the spa and pool facility. The pool is small compared to other spas. The spa itself is very small. Now that simply means for now, there aren't any frilly services, just your basics. That just means they are good at what they do and know. I had a hot stone massage and it was delightful. Simple yet delightful. It isn't facy, it isn't elegant but it is clean and the staff were professional and very friendly. Sometimes that's all you really need! Couple it with the ambiance, lovely rooms and amazing food, this is a wonderful bed and breakfast with a special touch of offering spa services.
