About Spa Room, The
Housed in an art deco building in Tenleytown, the Spa Room offers a five-star spa menu in a homey setting. Our signature treatment is a two-hour customized massage session, which was designed to create a sense of timelessness and abundance. Two mini-spa treatments are included with the session. The Spa Room menu allows guests to mix and match therapeutic techniques with mini-spa treatments called spa enhancements. Therapeutic techniques include Swedish, deep tissue, active isolated stretching, assisted stretching and guided imagery. Its spa enhancement menu includes hot stone, birch back cleanse, wild rose facial cleanse, paraffin treatment for the hands and feet, and a replenishing body wrap. The spa also offers Feldenkrais, Reiki, aromatherapy, in addition to a Massage 101 class, which is a beginner's guide to massage, and movement education classes.Location

I booked a hot stone massage with Sally after a long, very stressful week, and it was a smart move. The customer service was stellar, and she actively worked to ensure I had a positive customer experience.
As for the massage, it was divine; I truly felt the stress melt away after the massage. I highly recommend The Spa Room.

I tried out this place while on travel for business. I had a limited amount of time, so the only drawback was that I had trouble finding this place. Other than that, the massage was great, and exactly what I needed. The staff is professional, and I'd consider returning during my next trip to the area!

I was in dire need of a massage due to strained back muscles. I had difficulty getting an appointment. Mary was kind enough to extend her hours so I could get in! Her expertise did the trick! Instant relief from the pain.
I already have my next appointment!

This quaint spa is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Tenleytown metro. I heard about it through a friend and I was not disappointed! The owner, Mary, is very knowledgeable and is a great resource to help you decide the best spa treatments for you. We chose a massage with spa enhancements - which I definitely recommend - a birch back scrub and a rose facial. The back scrub was very invigorating and the rose facial was so relaxing. I left feeling hydrated and relaxed. Mary's goal is to use exclusively organic products which I loved! The entire spa experience is improved with her specialty spa enhancements, so I recommend you try one out to complete your experience here.

Although located within a medical office building, once you get past the stark decor and are lying on the massage table, you're miles away from hectic everyday life. The custom care that masseuse Mary provided, along with fabulous smelling oils and tranquil music made me forget I was literally just steps away from my office. For the spa enthusiast that’s in a hurry; we don't all have time for a full spa day but there's nothing like sneaking off for a massage during your lunch break, this is the place for you! Spa Room strips down your typical frou-frou spa experience and gives you the basics: a spectacular massage (one of the best I've ever had in fact). I treat myself to a spa day once a month and I will certainly be making Spa Room one of my top places to go - it's quick, welcoming and customized to your needs, what more could a busy, spa-loving girl ask for! I'm excited to try their body wraps, stay tuned for my review on those. This time I got the regular massage and I'm still thinking about how heavenly it was!
