    Northern Lights Spa offers professional treatments using natural products and therapists who are passionate about relaxation. The 1,400-square-foot, Native American-themed spa has dream catchers and pictures of the Northern Lights throughout. Five treatment rooms reflect areas and seasons - Aurora, Dakota, Shaman, North and Winter. Services offered include a wide range of massages, transformative energy with flower remedies, facials, body treatments, and more. The most popular treatment, the Northern Lights Sample, includes hot stone massage, a 30-minute express facial, sugar foot scrub, and a paraffin hand dip. The spa can accommodate couples and groups of three. It hosts relaxation classes in massage, acupuncture, yoga, energy work, and zodiac, and occasionally hosts ladies night with discounted prices. Every body treatment comes with complimentary exfoliation. Most services include aromatherapy, hot compress, and in the couples massage, stones are included.

My husband and I went for massages while visiting family in Williamsburg. We were both happy with the service, atmosphere and massages we received. 90 minutes went by fast and hubby almost fell asleep.

I used my Spa Finder gift certificate for me and my girlfriend which was 150. We decided to use it for the hot stone massage and then each of us chose something tailored to us in addition. I chose the body scrub and hand paraffin treatment and she chose the tummy masque and hr facial. It was wonderful and very relaxing! My therapist was Elisa and focused on my areas where I had tension/stress at which was my head and feet. I'm not one for totally hot temperatures and she tailored the stones to the right temp as well as her hand pressures for the massage. Awesome place in an office area...but the theme is relaxing. In addition, my girlfriend enjoyed the facial...wasn't too impressed on the masque and felt relaxed and even passed out from the massage.

My sister and I visited the spa while on vacation. It was a perfect addition to our trip. We each got different services and loved them and the staff. Very nice atmosphere (quiet, soothing). Only drawback - It's a smaller place so the lounge is basically the lobby - no centralized place to unwind before or after services.

Do not even waist your time visiting the joint. The owner Sara Plato is so rude and unfriendly it will leave you with a bitter taste once you've had to deal with her. I actually have warned everyone I know in the area and will never even drive by the place!

Unfortunately this client was 30 minutes late for her session with no phone call. I am sorry that she feels the need to ruin what we are trying to accomplish here. Since she has never even had a treatment here, I do not see how she can get an accurate feeling of our spa. My husband and I came to Williamsburg and drove up here one morning for treatments. I had a hot stone massage and facial with Alexandra, and she was wonderful! She is very knowledgeable about her art and the products she uses. My face looked better than it had in years (in terms of acne and redness) and she gave me a couple of good natural breakout control tips. I would highly recommend Alexandra for any service she provides!
