    New Image Skin Care & Spa strives to provide a unique and intimate spa experience. With three treatment rooms and a shower room, services featured include body scrubs, massage types such as Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, and hot stone, customized facials, waxing, and other offerings to accommodate each individual's needs. The spa proudly uses Sothys products from an ecologically sustainable organic farm project in France and locally distributed CA Botana. Miracle Wave is also offered, which is a treatment system combined with skin-care products to produce non-surgical facelift effects to reduce wrinkles, tighten skin, enhance glow, and help skin look its best.

Massage Options:

  • The Swedish massage improves circulation and relaxes sore muscles.
  • The Deep Tissue massage is a deep pressure technique to help chronic pain and reduce tension. 

Facial Options:

  • The European Facial is a classic maintenance facial. This treatment will leave your skin revitalized, hydrated and thoroughly cleansed. 
  • The Deep Cleansing facial is designed to refine and rebalance troubled skin by unclogging pores and removing dull surface skin.
  • The Men's Facial is designed specially for men's skin.  This treatment will include deep pore cleansing and facial massage followed by a special mask based on indivual needs.

The Body scrub is an exfoliating treatment which leaves your skin smooth and refreshed.

Awesome massage. Michelle identified the problem area within the hour and used other massage techniques to work it out the kinks. She also finished it with some stretching which helped a lot. The massage. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage. I am extremely tense in the shoulders, neck and back from sitting in front of my computer all day. Michelle did an initial consultation on general problems and she was polite, courteous, and nice. She started at my feet first, which seemed different to me, but it definitely put me in a state of relaxation immediately.

I had a 1 hour massage plus a 1 hour facial from Kate today. I must say, she was amazing. Definitely one of the best massages I've ever had. I had a baby 6 weeks ago so I was looking for some good relaxation/de-stressing body work to be done to me. I left there feeling like a new person. Super relaxing! And, Kate listened to my specific concerns/needs. I appreciated her very much. Thank you Kate.

Had my first massage two weeks ago and it wont be the last. I found my new addiction. Great relaxing massage given by Glenda. She asked if the presure was right if i had any special areas. As a fist timer i had no idea of what to do. She explain step by step. Cant wait for my next massage. I found my new years resolution.

Best Deep Tissue Massage in San Diego!

I have been to many spas both in San Diego and at various vacation resorts. By far, my massage by Kate was one of THE best l've had and THE best in San Diego! l generally get massages for stress relief and to help clear my sinuses. Kate's personal and professional attention to my needs left my knotted muscles relaxed and my sinuses and chest so clear I could take a deep breath again! Along with her skilled massage, Kate used other techniques that aided in making this the optimal message. Two of those were the heated table and warm compresses on the areas she had just worked. The spa is clean and has a personal touch which invites you to come back again. Before leaving, I scheduled my next visit! Another appeal that got me to try this spa was the excellent and diverse background Kate and the other professionals have. I highly recommend you check out the spa website. If you have a Spa Finder gift certificate, I would highly recommend using it here!

We had SpaFinder gift certificates for Wellness week and had booked a couple's massage. My husband had many sports massages in the past and raved about the massage he received from Sapphire. He said she worked his muscles to the point of utter relaxation. I had never had a massage before and suffer from degenerative joint disease. My therapist, Heidi, did a fantastic job with a mixed type massage combining Swedish, deep tissue, and Reiki --a pain management and life force technique. I left there pain free and feeling like a wet noodle. I highly recommend this spa and the quality personnel they employ.

I was given a SpaFinders gift certificate and did a bit of research. I am so happy to say that my massage with Kate was OUTSTANDING! I booked for a Deep Tissue Massage and came away feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and like mush! I arrived for my massage and within 5 minutes Kate discussed my needs and desires for my treatment. Next I was shown into a quiet room and lay down on a delightfully warm table in a delightfully peaceful room. My massage was deep, thorough and very relaxing. The warm room, peaceful music, strong but gentle massage was just what I needed. Kate really had listened and my massage included all areas of pain and soreness I spoke of. You will LOVE this quiet and clean facility. You will feel welcomed by Kim and/or Kate. You will want to come back for MORE! Thank you for a wonderfully delightful and therapeutic massage.

I am hands down addicted to massages! I've been to many different spas and have experienced a variety of therapists. However, this is by far one of the best experiences, very clean and super friendly staff. The deep tissue massages here are to die for!! My therapist Kate and she had firm hands and paid plenty attention to my knotted muscles and kept the pressure deep but still put me in a relaxed state! Kate is very professional and used amazing techniques and the perfect amount of pressure. She was very in tune with my needs and focused on my concern areas and managed to find all my knots. I'm excited to try out all the different therapists, I'm sure they will be just as wonderful!

At first glance, it looks like any regular spa. However, the massage therapists and estheticians are very professional. Kate is without a doubt one of San Diego's best kept secrets, because her massages are literally the best. Prior to her grand opening at her new Clairemont Mesa Blvd. center, she has loyal clients dating back over 10 years worth of experience and service. This comes to show how professional and trusted she is. Her staff are very friendly and sweet as well. I have also had about 3 facials with New Image's Sothys products. These products are made in France, and are used within many spas and resorts through high end hotel chains. Thus, you're in good hands. I also like this place because unlike popular chains like Massage Envy and Revive that are popping up all over San Diego, the service and care here is very intimate and you are guaranteed that this business and its professionals will always be there for your needs.
