• About Yoga High

The mission of Yoga High is to invite health and well-being into the lives of its community members; our philosophy is that Yoga should enhance and improve one’s life without requiring an abrupt lifestyle change. We at Yoga High are dedicated to providing safe, quality Yoga to our students while still participating in the real-life community of Manhattan’s Lower East Side.At Yoga High we merge the ancient Yogic traditions and practices passed down over 5,000 years with the modern emphasis on physical challenge and fitness. We teach Hatha Vinyasa style yoga which is the "flowing" style. We move through various poses using the breath and we include music from many different genres to help get you moving. For students who already have a strong Yoga practice, we provide a community of fellow practitioners who hold the same value of mindful well-being, and for those who want the physical benefits of Yoga but are intimidated or put off by the prospect of classes, we offer a clear, warm approach where they can experience the benefits of a strong, safe physical practice without being "indoctrinated."
