The Spa Club

I had a decent experience at The Spa Club especially since I was just having a routine (simple) hair cut and had come in on an "off peak" time. The atmosphere was relaxing, the receptionist was friendly, and the hair stylist did a fine job listening to my preferences before starting. Overall, it was an OK experience and I would probably go back.

I went in to have my hair colored and cut. The stylist looked stressed when we discussed what I wanted, especially with the length and how thick my hair is. She kept going to the receptionist and it sounded like she was trying to make sure there would be plenty of time. Clearly she was stressed. She then was applying my color, when the receptionist alerted her that her next appointment was here. She finished applying my color and then took her next appointment back. I was a little appalled that she had this appointment during mine. She then took a second client back after the first one. When she came back to check on me I asked why they did that. She explained "power booking" and that the management and ownership want to get as much as they can in at the same time. No wonder she was stressed!! I was really bothered by that and it explains why whenever you get to your appointment they take you back where you need to be and then leave you to work on someone else. No wonder they get mad when your late, you mess up there "conveyer line" style experience. Not a relaxing experience!

I have been to The Spa Club about 3 times, and I have yet to be impressed. I feel as though I am clear about the services I request, but have never actually received them correctly (i.e. deep tissue was really like a swedish massage) They seem to cater to what works best for them. Will never give them my money again.

Have had several people do my brow(s) over the years and all have been great!

I had a 15 minute massage with Jocelyn and she was wonderful. I just needed a little tension release in my neck and shoulders and she knew just how to get rid of my stress. She gave me some tips on how to decrease problems in this area. Overall I had a great experience. The spa was not too crowded. There is a small waiting area which was fine since I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment. The girls at the front desk were polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Spa Club to others.
