Melange Intensive Workshop
Mélange, French for “mix”, is a dance class inspired by the idea that the root of the body’s natural movement style is in personal interpretation. Mixing, melding, fusing, and stirring up all the steps you observe, emulate, and practice promotes ownership over the experience of dance and really gets your body to move the way it was meant to! With influences from multiple Afro-styles of dance, this Mélange workshop is sure to be something truly original. This is a high-energy, hour and a half workshop meant to inspire heat and build strength. Each class includes a dance combination broken down step-by-step mixed up with pilates-style strengthening moves to help build core strength. The music includes Afro and urban beats that accompany the fusion of African, Latin, Tribal House, and Hip-Hop grooves. Shoes are encouraged, no experience necessary. |
