Beginning Flamenco
This flamenco class is designed to be fun, energetic, and informative for beginning flamenco dancers, age 12 and over. The class will include activities that give the students a well-rounded educational and cultural experience. The class will introduce students to flamenco through fun activities that teach them not only how to dance, but also teach them about cultural awareness, Spanish language, and the region of the world where flamenco originated. The goal is to help students develop an appreciation for the arts while they have fun and develop their skills as flamenco dancers at the same time. The students will learn rhythm, music and dance. |

Beginning Argentine Tango
Beginning Argentine Tango is an introduction to the techniques, figures and cultural aspects of the tango. Students learn a variety of caminatas (walking), the eight count basic, sacadas and much more. This class prepares you for further study by offering the basics of tango, as well introducing improvisation to the dance. The class is open to couples and singles, and welcomes drop in students. Students are, however, encouraged to attend at least five of the six classes per session, as the class builds each week. |

You will gain an understanding of the different forms of tango from traditional to nuevo (with the showy flourishes) and including tango waltz (Vals) and Milonga. Couples or Singles are welcome as are same sex couples or individuals who wish to learn a non-traditional role.
