Ajune is a medical day spa with a focus on advanced skin care. Though a board-certified plastic surgeon presides over the spa, its design is decidedly non-clinical, with Asian-inspired minimal décor dominated by soothing shades of green and brown. A glass doorway past the retail and reception areas leads to the peaceful relaxation room and 13 tranquil treatment rooms, which are connected by a draped hallway dubbed the "Hall of Whispers." Mosaics made of recycled glass enliven the treatment areas' hand-polished plaster walls.
The medical director, Dr. Mauro C. Romita, personally performs all BOTOX®, Restylane, and collagen injections, in addition to vein therapy and plastic-surgery consultations. A board-certified dermatologist also sees patients on-site. Other medical offerings include Profect Laser Therapy, which is designed to stimulate collagen production and destroy acne-causing bacteria; Miracle Waves LED skin rejuvenation; and laser hair removal using Gentle Lase technology. Clinical laser and light treatments can be deployed in conjunction with microdermabrasion and medical-grade peels to optimize results.
Similarly, patients can also choose targeted packages that combine clinical and pampering therapies. The eight-to-10-week Ajune Cellulite Program attacks one of women's most common aesthetic complaints with endermologie, thermal therapies, detoxifying mud wraps, and more. Knowledgeable estheticians and technicians perform a variety of individual services that range from the Ajune Classic Ginger Massage (integrating herbal extracts and soothing heat packs) to the 90-minute Godiva Chocolate Body Wrap.
Results-oriented facials are customized for the individual guest. The 75-minute Sonya Dakar Signature Facial can incorporate six acids of various strengths and masks specific to each client's skin type.
