EXO & ORBIT Level 1-2 Pre/postnatal-Neutral Spine (all populations welcome)-(apparatus)

Taught and designed by Pre/postnatal Pilates Specialist, Rebecca Nelson. This program is designed for pre & post-natal clients, however, ALL POPULATIONS (non-pregnant or non-postnatal clients) are welcome and can benefit from this program. We will address the needs of this population by stretching and exercising the entire body in a way that supports the changes that occur during all 3 trimesters and postpartum period. Included in these exercises is activation and release of the pelvic floor. The ability to do both is important for a healthy functioning pelvic floor that needs to be strong enough to support the extra demands during the pre & post-natal phase and also be supple enough to have a natural delivery/birth. This class will also focus on exercises that encourage the use of the transversus abdominus (deep abdominal muscles) and obliques to aide in core stability, rather than an over-emphasis of the rectus abdominus ("6 pack" muscles) which can lead to diastasi

Pilates Circuit Level 2 (apparatus)

This class is an intermediate level of our KÔR Pilates Circuit class. The basic fundamentals of Pilates should be mastered before taking this class with a familiarity of the Pilates apparatus. This class involves various pieces of Pilates apparatus, such as the Trapeze Table/Cadillac, Reformer, Spine Corrector/Barrel, Mat and the least used but most challenging piece, the Wunda Chair. The advantage to using different pieces is that you will avoid fitness plateaus while getting an intense, full body workout including abs/obliques, glutes/legs, arms and back. Since each piece of equipment has a different approach to working the body, KÔR's Pilates Circuit will keep your body in balance and challenged by "changing it up" each workout. Take your Pilates experience to the next level with one of the most challenging pieces of Pilates equipment, ensuring an invigorating workout. This apparatus class utilizes the EXO Chair in a flow style class along with the Orbit that moves around in all planes of motion. The EXO Chair is a modern twist on one of Joseph Pilates' original pieces of Pilates equipment, the "Wunda Chair". You will perform various intermediate Wunda Chair exercises as well as many of the exercises that can be done on the Cadillac/Trapeze table while uitilizing springs. Pre/Post-Natal Mat Level 1 - Spine & Pelvic Alignment (all populations welcome)

Designed by Certified Pilates Instructor and Pre/Post Natal Specialist. This class focuses on relaxing and opening joints and muscles that are commonly tight (hamstrings, shoulders, low back) in Pre and Post Natal women (as well as everyone else) while working muscles needed to support the pelvis and spine (gluteals, pelvic floor, transverse abdominis, thoracic extensors). Using the stability ball, bands, and an assortment of other props this class is designed specifically for Pre and Post Natal women, however all populations are welcome and will benefit. By releasing certain points of the body and activating others we help to realign the pelvis and spine into "neutral". This class moves at a smooth, continuous, but safe pace. No supine (on the back) exercises and very little, if any, forward flexion. Each class is always carefully designed with the special concerns of the participants in mind.

EXO & ORBIT all levels (apparatus)

Take your Pilates experience to the next level with one of the most challenging pieces of Pilates equipment, ensuring an invigorating workout. This apparatus class utilizes the EXO Chair in a flow style class along with the Orbit that moves around in all planes of motion. The EXO Chair is a modern twist on one of Joseph Pilates' original pieces of Pilates equipment, the "Wunda Chair". You will perform various intermediate Wunda Chair exercises as well as many of the exercises that can be done on the Cadillac/Trapeze table while uitilizing springs. This class is performed at a steady pace with the instructor leading, directing, correcting and cueing you. All populations are welcome.

Pilates Props Mat Level 2-3

In this Level 2-3 Pilates Mat class you will use Pilates props, which will increase the intensity of traditional Pilates mat exercises, and help you work deeper in each exercise. The concept of neutral pelvis should be familiar and attainable before taking this class. Props used: Pilates Ring, Core Balls, soft weighted balls, bands and ankle/hand weights. Suggested classes before taking this class include KÔR Fundamentals and Pilates Mat Level 1.

Pilates Circuit Level 1 (apparatus)

This is a great class for anyone starting Pilates Circuit. Even though this is a level 1 Pilates Circuit, suitable for beginners and those who want to take it easy on their body, previous Pilates experience is still strongly recommended.KÔR Pilates Circuit involves various pieces of Pilates apparatus, such as the Trapeze Table/Cadillac, Reformer, Spine Corrector/Barrel, Mat and the least used but most challenging piece, the Wunda Chair. The advantage to using different pieces is that you will avoid fitness plateaus while getting an intense, full body workout including abs/obliques, glutes/legs, arms and back. Since each piece of equipment has a different approach to working the body, KÔR's Pilates Circuit will keep your body in balance and challenged by "changing it up" each workout.
