The practice, often called the Pilates method, is meant to improve mental and physical wellbeing, increase flexibility, and strengthen muscles through a series of controlled movements and breathing that engage both the body and mind. This innovative workshop on the Split-Pedal Stability Chair™ provides trainers with specially designed exercises and modifications using this highly versatile tool. Appropriate STOTT PILATES® exercise adaptations will be explored in sitting, standing, side-lying and other innovative and beneficial positions keeping in mind the latest medical information and ACOG guidelines as well as anatomical and physiological changes, risk factors and movement considerations.
