Baby and Me Yoga

This class is an ideal way to rebalance your body and rejuvenate your energy by concentrating on specific postpartum areas that need extra attention while enjoying time with your baby and building social connections. Enhance your sense of body awareness and positive body image, improve balance, strengthen muscles and reduce stress and fatigue. Babies are gently and safely incorporated into the class as observers or active participants using soothing massage, yoga poses and songs, movements and stretches to engage and delight. This class is open to moms four to six weeks post-vaginal birth,and six to eight weeks post-cesarean birth and to babies who are not actively crawling. Nursing, feeding, walking, bouncing and crying are normal activities here! Class begins at 11:30 but you may arrive up to 20 minutes late given that babies do not always conform to schedules. Prenatal Yoga Class

In our prenatal classes students will tone & stretch the major muscle groups & body systems in a balanced, fun & safe way, using a modified vinyasa-flow style. The breath will be at the center of all we do, our focal point (or drishti), as we move in & out of both challenging & restorative postures. We work on strength, balance, endurance, focus, & deep relaxation, all valuable tools in the birthing process (& parenting!!). Staying in certain postures will help us connect to our personal power, drawing strength from the breath. Pranayama (breathing exercises) specifically helpful for pregnancy related ills & birthing will be taught. Guided relaxation ends every class (ideal for in between contractions, before a cesarean section & to rest deeply in the energy-depleted first months of pregnancy). Baby and Me Yoga

This class is an ideal way to rebalance your body and rejuvenate your energy by concentrating on specific postpartum areas that need extra attention while enjoying time with your baby and building social connections. Enhance your sense of body awareness and positive body image, improve balance, strengthen muscles and reduce stress and fatigue. Babies are gently and safely incorporated into the class as observers or active participants using soothing massage, yoga poses and songs, movements and stretches to engage and delight. This class is open to moms four to six weeks post-vaginal birth,and six to eight weeks post-cesarean birth and to babies who are not actively crawling. Nursing, feeding, walking, bouncing and crying are normal activities here! Class begins at 11:30 but you may arrive up to 20 minutes late given that babies do not always conform to schedules. Dad''s are also welcome.
