In this 75 minute class we learn to maximize breath and muscular efficiency to enjoy life. We work on breath, alignment, movement and flow to assist with releasing stress, tension, and toxicity all while increasing strength, stamina, flexibility and core efficiency and vitality. The Yoga we practice in this class is designed to cultivate or mojo.... that unique essence that allows our inner light to shine.....through all of our many pursuits! We begin by flowing through some sun salutations, after which we will deepen and explore a wide range of classical and modern poses (asanas), carried by the flow of our breath. This yoga practice offers a variety of poses. We open with a short pranayama (breath) practice to connect our body, mind, and soul. Our asana (pose) practice begins with Yang to open our bodies for greater energy flow. We then go into Yin practice where we hold poses for a longer time while concentrating on our breath, especially beneficial for the joints of those who are athletic and aging. It is then followed up with a short restorative practice savoring the time spent on our mats before we end with savasana.
