AmazingBy MaryM | May 11, 2013
My daughter & I had a Spa day here today. What a great day we had from the moment we arrived we were pampered. Firstly with a lovely glass of Prosecco followed by AMAZING treatments. The afternoon tea was delicious. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much to all the girls.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEYBy ClaireM | July 1, 2012
I urge anyone thinking of visiting this so called 'spa' not do it. The management of the place is a disgrace and a shambles to say the least. I was horrified the beauty/spa therapists were the most unprofessional I have ever encountered and had no shame in their behaviour or their language which was at best crude and at worst vulgar, I was in shock. The whole experience was horrific, but a lesson learned.

Thank you for a lovely day with the girlsBy MargaretH | June 22, 2012
So happy with what I got for my hen day with the girls here. Lovely bubbly reception, and then taken for an amazing facial with such a lovely girl (not sure if I can name here) anyway she was just lovely. The product used was a French brand - can't remember the name, but I really felt the amazing difference on my skin and the smell was lovely. The place had such a welcoming feel to it - was a bit hard to find tho as there was no sign - but apart from that when I arrived I felt very relaxed and welcome. We stayed for an afternoon tea which included sandwiches, cakes, and scones with tea or coffee - we all loved it - such amazing value for money and it looked lovely. The treatment room I was in had 2 beds in it which was great as it meant I could go in with my friend, it was nice, with lovely dimmed lights. I did notice the hole the other spa member had mentioned - but saw no sign of any camera :-) to me it just looked like a loft hatch from the room leading to a storage area - I only noticed it as I read here. I felt the decor was lovely - very natural uncluttered and clean. Defo a great place if your want a day with a group of friends to relax.

Dissapointing, to say the least!By jenniferw | June 3, 2012
Like many others had such a dissapointing day yesterday. No visable signage outside which made for quite a bland arrival, it really gives the impression that it is 'unfinished' and although the chairs and fabrics chosen are modern and chic the carpets felt grubby and unkept. There is indeed a hole in what looks like an attic hatch in the massage room. No mirrors in the changing rooms and on our way to the pilates class we had to walk through and look into other very unkept rooms with dusty glass cabinets and random equipement lying everywhere. There was definate confusion too with the staff. No one really seemed to know what they were doing or take charge and just lacked that little bit of finese in welcoming you, or helping in our case to correct which was quite rightly a day with lunch included. Sandwiches were shockingly bad! Make better pack lunches myself! Really such a shame as could be something really special. WOuld suggest whoever is in charge to be on site and get the place in shape. Otherwise all you'll have is people with special offers than repeat customers willing to spend money on the right place!!

Great Spa day with the girlsBy EmilyJ | May 26, 2012
Fantastic day just had today at the residence!
I purchased a promo via itison - and for the price I was blown away with the amount we all got. 6 of us all booked in, we all got taken at the SAME time :-) we had a huge big sofa to chill out and enjoy what I have to say was a fab afternoon tea - so relaxed and friendly. Was busy but we did go at the weekend - the girls told us its always busy during the weekend but week days are more chilled if we wanted to do another day.
The feel of the place was what we liked most, staff so friendly and a very relaxed tone. Love the relaxed rooms, mine had 2 beds in so was fab as I could go in with my friend - nice chilled music and chandeliers in the rooms. Could tell they where still working on the place as there was no pics or mirrors up, and still needing finishing touches. I am defo booking up again - brilliant day out for a group of girls - but book in advance as getting a booking for a large number we did have to wait a few weeks.

Amazing Pilates ClassesBy JulieR | May 24, 2012
I purchased a groupon class pass - was a tad worried as sometimes with these deal sites you don't get what you would think - however I have to say I am loving this at the residence. I was in the mat class last night and was blown away - the teacher was amazing - I felt to at ease she explained so well and for the first time ever in 2 years doing pilates I feel I understand - 100% would tell you to do your training here.

FAULTY TOWERS DOES A SPA!!By STINKIEB | May 22, 2012
Go somewhere else. No-one to greet you upon arrival, no signs up anywhere with company name, mirrors and prints are not on the walls (which makes getting ready after a 'massage' rather difficult) and considering the place was 'rennovated' in Dec...you'd think they could bang a few nails in the wall to mount their frames! A 30 min massage lasted 20 mins and was simply awful. A general air of confusion about the place, not smooth running at all. Odd layout. The 'massage room' was sooo unbelievably basic - more like pasting tables in a scabby old broom cupboard...honestly..made me feel yuck. No soothing whale music, candles, or soft lighting here either! And the best part was the hole in the roof - you know the kind that cameras can poke through easily? Shocking! You have to walk past an open cleaning cupboard complete with Henry hoover and other grotty, smelly stuff just sitting there to get to this oasis of luxury. It's a million miles away from any sort of luxury. They don't even have any nail driers, so our (rotten) manicured nails were constantly smudging whilst attempting to eat our afternoon tea - which was the only decent part of our time at The Residence. Worst spa day EVER, and I have been to many, many excellent spa's. :-

RESULTS I HAVE GOTBy MORAGM | May 12, 2012
I LOVE THIS PLACE. ITS SO DIFFERENT TO YOUR REGULAR HEALTH/SPA. I SUPPOSE FROM READING SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWS - THAT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE.
I HAVE FOUND ALL THE GIRLS LOVELY, SO FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP THAT BIT EXTRA.
I USE THE SPA AREA TO GET MY SHELLAC NORMALLY ONCE PER MONTH. LOVE THE RELAXED FEEL TO THE PLACE.
ITS SO GRAND INSIDE - THIS MIGHT PUT SOME PEOPLE OFF I SUPPOSE.
i HAVE USED FOR A GIRLY SPA DAY ALSO - BRILLIANT DAY OUT FOR ALL THE GIRLS!
THE CLASSES ARE FAB, NOT PACKED FULL LIKE SOME OTHER PLACES - I HAVE COUNTED AND HAVE NEVER SEEN OVER 14 IN A CLASS - SO I DON'T MIND PAYING A BIT MORE AS I FEEL I GET MORE HANDS ON TIME WITH GREAT TEACHERS. PS THE HOT CLASSES ARE FAB YOU NEED TO TRY!

Very disappointing serviceBy CaoimheC | May 4, 2012
I took part in the pilates and cardiolattes classes. On both occasions the classes started 15minutes late and ended 5 mins early. My free 30mins massage lasted 20 minutes. The trainers did not apologize for being late.
The trainer for cardiolattes was impatient, unprepared for the class (she had no speaker and her bike didn't work so we had to sit and watch her try three different bikes, she could have prepared this instead of sitting in the reception area ignoring us while we waited for her class to start), very unfriendly and rather than encourage members she accused people of not turning their dial on the spinning bike.
On my trip to pilates, we were locked outside for the first 10minutes of the class without an explanation or apology. The class ended almost 10 mins early, we could have spent this time doing arm exercises which were not covered in the class.
The building is beautiful but unfortunately it does not reflect in the girls that work there.
I was left wondering who runs the place and if they know how dreadful the service is.
I went to 3 of the 8 classes I paid for because I could not be bothered.
The one star is for the only friendly girl that worked there. I doubt I can name names but hers starts with K!

Unpleasant to say the very least..........By Anne R | October 24, 2011
..............words fail me with this one. Day Spa? Luxurious? Stunning west end address?
Sorry, I will pass! Most stressful experience to date, and if this is a day spa with relaxing and comfortable surroudings then I am at a loss as to where they get their ideas from.
