I contacted the salon to go into further detail about my charges. Ends up that one of the charges for the toner was the wrong price and that my hair tech would change the charge on the highlights so they refunded me $100. For $235 plus tip I would go back again. I was very happy with the customer service, of course I wish I didn't have to worry about the bill at all.. but at least they were all very professional in dealing with it so that all were satisfied in the end.

I went here for a hair cut and color (a base with high and low lights) that I had received at another Aveda concept in Arizona.. I paid $210 plus tip there.. I asked for the same service.. with a recipe card from previous salon and paid $335 plus tip.... I wasn't expecting that!! I loved the hair cut and color... but can't say that I can justify ANY hair cut at almost $400 I shelled out.

Cold and pretentious you won't find here but warmth and all of it's comforts, you will. Staff is well trained & effective & genuinely seem to care about the quality of your service. The spa is not "modern" in decor but the service will transport you. Massage therapists are wonderful. Stylists do great work- and all with Aveda products!! Wished for longer head massage at the sink. Over all, salon is great- straight forward, polite, consistent... and I will take that any day over pretentious, rude, & flakey!

I've only been to Thompson's for facials, and although it is not a luxurious facility, in a difficult-to-find location, the prices are reasonable. You get what you pay for here, but you will not be very disappointed. The staff is fairly nice, and new visitors get a gift bag. They are great about sending emails regularly about specials that are very reasonable!
