FineLiving New York Ayurveda employs an experienced vaidya, or doctor trained in the ancient Indian healing art known as Ayurvedic medicine. Based on the results of an in-depth consultation, the vaidya prescribes services and classes that are available at the spa, including Abhyanga (body massage with herbal oils), Ayurvedic rebalancing facials, and yoga and/or meditation experiences. Panchakarma therapy is an intensive, vaidya-supervised multi-day program designed to effect detoxification and deep rejuvenation.
