A more than comfortable, calm atmosphere in this beautiful day spa located in an old house right downtown Birmingham. They're friendly and the facials I've had are relaxing, soothing and tailored to my needs. I wish I could go there more often!

For all the Spa experiences I've ever had, there honestly hasn't been one that has been even remotely comparable to the great services and environment that I experienced at Carol Lewis Day Spa. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. The staff was warm, and seemed genuinely happy and interested in me as a person, not just a client. I had a Spa Pedicure with Lauren, who has been there for years; and the experience shows! Not only did she do a great job with my service, but she was attentive and very open to getting to know me. The service was wonderful, and included a hot towel treatment - which I had never experienced before! She has a very sunny demeanor as well as great skills. I also had a phenomenal massage with Maureen! She was very intuitive about my trouble areas, and had a great, firm touch. I didn't even need to tell her where I needed different pressures, she just was very in tune with the body! Finally, I had a facial with Rachaell. She gave me a deep cleaning, extractions, and one of the best massages as a bonus...I wasn't expecting such great care, and she seemed to really enjoy her job and excel at it, not to mention her friendly attitude! 5 stars! Recommend

I have had many manicures and pedicures over the years. My experiences at Carol Lewis Day Spa, specifically with Lauren as my manicurist are exceptional. Her technique and professionalism are unparalleled. Which is why I am extremely confused regarding the previous comments about Lauren's service. All conversations are friendly and only get personal when prompted. She has been with Carol Lewis for years and I hope she remains there for many, many more! I highly recommend her to everyone!

I have been going to Ellen since 2007 for waxing and facials. I found her from an article in Allure magazine ...and have been going there ever since. The front desk staff especially Michelle are also great to deal with!

The staff is great, especially Ellen. The only complaint I have about this wonderful spa is the owner, Carol. I've received facials and waxings from her. She does a decent job but talks incessantly about her love life. Not exactly what I'm looking for when I go to the spa! She is completely annoying and makes the spa experience anything but relaxing! Also, I've heard that she arbitrarily changes her prices on customers, so do not trust what is posted on their site!

I love this place! Ellen gives the best facial ever! She is also a great bikini waxer, very quick with little discomfort. Excellent experience from the moment I book the appointment through to the end. I won't go anywhere else for facials or waxing.

Not only was my Facial amazing with Ellen. I got my nails done with Lauren and they never looked better! I felt completly relaxed from head to toe when I left. Not to mention the receptionist was extremley helpful and friendly. My experience rocked!

This Spa rocks! It's beautiful and at the same time very comfortable and welcoming. It seems to be "the place" to go. I'm writing this at the end of December 2008. As busy as it was there at the holidays, they took good care of me and gave me my full time. I love it here! I feel great! Truly. Try it!
