Farashe The Day Spa

A friend and I visited this spa before a beach trip to get waxes. After waxing, the technician applied a "soothing lavender lotion" to both of us which gave us chemical burns to our skin, mine was on my armpits and hers burned her leg. The burns lasted a couple weeks. Needless to say, our beach trip was ruined due to the burning and irritation to our skin and we will never be returning to Farashe. the technician did not apologize and only offered a wipe, saying "this has never happened before"..lies because my friend's appointment was right before mine, and we both were burned.

I don't feel that this is a bad experience it is unfortunate but things do happen Everyone gets sick. Try again

My wife went to this spa with her friend to book a double date massage about 2 weeks ago, we were called the day before the appointment to confirm the appointment. Our appointment was for 12:15 and we received a call at 10:30 that they can't take us at the same time because a therapist called in sick. I took the day off work for this treat and they ruined it for us all. We were later called and offered a different time each to come for the service and we declined because it defeated the purpose of double dating and we were really skeptical of the type of treatment we will receive. I will never go to this place nor recommend this place for anyone. If you want a good service you better take your business elsewhere.

My husband and I had a couples massages. I found the spa very relaxing and clean. We are planning to come back and visiting again!!!! It was a wow experience!!

My husband and I purchased a deal on Living Social for another business in Columbia. As a part of that deal, we were given credits to Farashe`... Everything was absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed a great package (body treatment, facial, full body massage, and scalp massage. I had 2 different therapist, who were both awesome! They knew what they were doing! I recommend this Spa to anyone and everyone, local or not! Farashe, we will be back! :)

I had a groupon for a facial and also purchased a scalp treatment as an extra service. The woman who gave me the facial said she was extremely busy and overbooked. I didn't feel as if her facial was as nice as those I've received at other places. I had several blackheads and asked her to remove them. She didn't get all the blackheads out. She even told me she didn't have time to do them all. I found myself at home picking them out. She also advised me that I wouldn't be getting the facial massage - there was not enough time. Her next client would be waiting. However, when we were done, there was no one there waiting for an appt. I've gotten much better facials elsewhere. The scalp massage was my first. It really did hurt when he pressed on my temples and hurt for days afterwards. I get a lot of massages and never have been this sore before. The receptionist was not friendly at all.

The front desk staff was not friendly or welcoming at all. My massage therapist was a lot more friendly and polite. The massage was nice, I like the use of hot towels to relax muscles and use of essential oils. It's a little far from where I live so I don't see myself returning, and the front desk staff never even bother to ask if I'd like to make another appointment.

I really hate getting gift certificates when there are a bunch of stipulations attached to them like these. I wanted to schedule a laser hair removal treatment and they refused saying the certificates weren't allowed. Instead of handling the payment to the doctor in house and making it seamless to a potential customer they decide to turn customers away instead. In the end they still receive the funds from the card and yet they pick and choose what it can be used for but not disclose it on this site.

I purchased the Groupon for a massage and scalp treatment and I was hesitant to have a masseur but Justin did amazing!! I hold my stress in my neck and he did a great job of focusing on that area. I felt AMAZING at the end. I will definitely be going back and recommend this spa and Justin to my friends and boyfriend!

I had a wonderful hour long massage with Elaine. Good pressure, some stretching and very relaxing. She found all of my problem areas and gave some great advice too. I will definitely go back to have a massage with Elaine. The spa itself is nice and cozy. The front desk staff wasn't too helpful but hopefully next time I go it will be better.

My husband and I had a couples swedish massage with Alex and Shawnetta on Saturday! Now we have had spas over the years at spas, resorts and cruises - this was definitely the best we've had. The hot towel on my back, feet, neck - awesome. The pressure was perfect. The extra attention truly spent on my problem areas. Alex did a fantastic job and I can't wait to go back. The scheduler encouraged me to bring my mom and sister along and fit us in so that we could do couples for my sis and mom and staggered our appointments. Wonderful!

I have been to this spa many times, infact I think by now I have had every massage therapist they have. The spa is small, but they do have a cozy relaxation room and always have a very good tea available and some sort of cookie etc. I have never had a bad experience, in fact when I did have a horrible experience at a nearby spa, they took me right in and I was quite happy when I left. The therapist actually stayed past his time off to give me a massage. Like I said Good people, Good massages.

I had a facial. It was good, but could be better. I was expecting the spa to be more upscale, luxorious. It was average. The wrap around given seemed worn and did not fit me. There were black marks on the spa table sheets. The facial itself was good. I might return; not sure. I think there are better spas available though.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a massage together to celebrate our anniversary. This was the first time we had ever had professional massages. Farashe' offers a "couples" massage which allows two people to have massages simultaneously in the same room by two massage therapists. The two massage therapists made us very comfortable (knowing it was our first massage experience.) Everything was very nice. I expected the spa to be a little larger than a dentist's office but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful experience. I would visit Farashe' again.
