Spa finder gift card
This spa is really nice and affordable as long as you spend cash. I purchased a spa finder gift card thinking I was saving money but I ended up paying double, because I could not have the specials because I was using the spafinder card also the tax and gratuity you have to pay cash if you are using the gift card so you have to buy a product so you don't lose the extra money on the card . My husband and I have had two couples massages here and they were wonderful! Just a little advice DON'T Buy the gift card! Looking forward to going back only this time we will use cash.
Response from Spa Retreat
Glad you two enjoyed your massages & will come back! We try to make everyone aware that we do not accept Spa Finder for any specials we run because we do have a fee from Spa Finder to redeem a Spa Finder gift card there is just not enough left over to pay your therapist & also the spa when 3 parties are involved. Thank you so much for you business!

Just What I Needed!
I used the sauna and had a facial with a MD upgrade. I had never been to a spa before and they were very friendly and helpful. The woman who did my facial explained everything to me and gave me a few samples. There was no pressure for me to buy anything or make another appointment. I will be going back soon. The only downside was the receptionist was new and had trouble booking my appointment and when I got the confirmation call, it turned out she had booked it for the wrong time. They were able to fix it, thankfully. The receptionist didn't know how to turn on the infra-red sauna but it wasn't a big deal. Someone was right there to help.

loved it!
very professional staff & relaxing atmosphere!. services were top notch! .a lady checking out in front of me was arguing about paying sales tax & the gratuity on a living social or groupon coupon she had bought for $60 for 2 1hr services!! what a deal!!..i know that living social or groupon takes about 1/2 from the coupon as a fee & the spa gets the other 1/2.. geez lady sales tax are a state law & 1/2 of $30 is $15...the 2 people doing your servics most likely made 1/2 or less of the $15! My recommendation is cheap people don't need to be pampered!! those therapists work hard & deserve the 15% tip or more! good job spa retreat!

WoW!!
The staff was very professional & the services were way beyond my expectations! When i booked my appoinment w/ a spa finder gc it was explained to me that spa finder is for menu prices only because spa retreat has to pay spa finder a % of the gift certificate when it is redeemed & that i would be responsible for the 15% gratuity & sales tax... Even the menu prices were way below other spas in the area. it is sad that these people at the spa would put their hands on you & pamper you & some people feel like they should leave no tip..you should be ashamed of yourself.. very self centered! glad they have a tipping policy for these type of people!

Bait and Switch
I also used a gift card and was pressured to buy other things in the salon that I didn't need. The staff seemed very young and inexperienced. The girl that gave me my massage (not the owner) had absolutely no personality and very little talent. The owner seemed more interested in talking to her "regular" clients than trying to keep a "new" one like me. If a tip isn't deserved, it shouldn't be taken out.

gift cards
i also used a gift card at this spa and was a little upset with the way i was treated, just because i was paying with a gift card i got charged top dollar for my procedure. Cash was used to purchase my gift card so why should i get treated any different than someone paying with cash or credit? Kim wrote the review about them automatically taking out there tip, the same was done to me as well. Like i really didn't plan on tipping because i was using a gift card!!! i wouldn't send anyone i know here unless they are paying with cash or credit!!!

rip off
I felt that since I had a gift card they overcharged me for a service I didn't make an appt. for. They also automatically added a tip which was very offensive. The manicure that I received was not as good as I've had other places.

This really was my Spa Re"treat"!
This was one of the most wonderful spas I have visited! My operator was actually the owner. She's one of the few people who own a spa that actually is available and accepting appointments! She was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I would definately refer anybody to this spa!
