Tranquility Day Spa and Salon

I purchased a living social GC so i got $150 worth of service for $75. I get facials multiple times a year and this one felt extremely rushed and was REALLY expensive. I was brought up to the room 5 minutes late(because she was running an errand?), then she left me to change for what seemed like 10 minutes then she talked me into the $150 facial for another 5 minutes. AND i was done with the facial 7 minutes before the hour was up. So I basically paid $150 for a 60 minute facial that was done in 35 minutes. My massage was awesome and i would have gone back for others! Unfortunately, I learned the facialist is also the owner of the spa and I will never spend another hard earned dollar there again, she has taken enough. What a crook.

I have had upper back pain most of my life, and I have had many massages, but when Jeanie was done with me I was left in a state of nirvana like I have never experienced. In addition, with some daily stretching at Jeanie's urging, my muscles have continued to relax. I highly recommend this spa, and Jeanie in particular. The atmosphere was very relaxing, with quiet rooms infused with aromatherapy. I made my next appointment before I left. Can't wait!

Looks as if the same "someone" wrote all the wonderful reviews! Had a facial, totally pressured to pay for the most expensive because I too was sooooo clogged and needed it. I spent around $150, but that won't get me the deep cleansing facial that I really needed. Are these people kidding me??????????????????? I do think I got a fabulous facial, but I would never go back because of the way I was treated. Go someplace else where it not all about the SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Treating myself to a facial was something i always considered too extravagant. So when a friend gave me a gift certificate for my birthday...well, i had to try it! That was 19 years ago...and that is how long i have been going to Tranquility. Still a treat, but something i would not do without. I am a flight attendant and spend lots of hours in very dry air,and it does a number on my skin. But after an hour (often more) on that cozy warm bed...and getting that incredible facial, my skin is rehydrated and just plain feels great! I often say to Jody that i feel as though i am floating out of the Spa. It is truly... a little slice of heaven! Thank you Jody....

I was given a gift certificate for my birthday last year and just used it last week. I was treated to a day of relaxation and the best care I have received at a spa ever! The staff was so friendly. I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped through the door. My facialist was the proprietor. I feel as if she could be my new best friend. The manicurist had me laughing so much; I had tears running down my face! For a great day with nothing but fun and relaxation, I suggest every woman (forget the men) go to Tranquility !

I've been a loyal customer of Tranquility for the past ten years and I have never had a bad experience, nor do I ever expect to. I routinely have facials and massages and they are the most relaxing moments in my hectic life. The owner, Jody, gives a stellar facial; the whole atmosphere of the facial room is amazing. You are in a comfy room, on a comfy heated bed. There are candles and delicate scents, and relaxing and soft music playing. Jody is great at picking out the perfect facial for my skin type; if some people can't except a little specialized service than I suppose Jody's beautiful shop is not for you. The icing that tops of the cake on the facials is that after your facial, when you are practically sleeping anyway, they give you a chance to take a nap! It feels amazing to take the time to relax, and not be abruptly rushed out so a new client can take your bed, or rushed to another service. I feel like family when I walk in door, especially because I am greeted sweetly and sincerely every time, offered a cup of coffee or tea, cookies or some chocolate, and than taken to my service promptly. The staff caters to your needs with a genuine smile on their face. Also, Tranquility also conveniently offers hair services on the other side of the shop, closed off by two sets of doors, which trust me, eliminates all the noise of blow driers from the spa side. Also, the facial and massage services take place upstairs, behind more closed doors, which eliminates the sounds of people entering, leaving, being greeted, and shopping. Which leads me to my next point, Tranquility has an excellent gift shop which the most beautiful selection of jewelry, soaps and lotions, the most comfortable bathrobes in the world, stylish purses, and seasonal gifts. I have never felt pressured into buying products or services that I do not want at Tranquility, but honestly, I never turn down a suggestion in the first place, because I know Jody and her staff are sincerely offering what is best for me; not what will put more money in their pockets.

I've been going to Tranquility for ten years now, and have had most of the services they offer. What keeps me going back is the warmth of the atmosphere and the expertise of the staff. Jody, the owner, is very welcoming and I've always enjoyed her facials. She's never pressured me to try anything, instead she's gracious about informing me of what's new and available. I was referred to Tranquility by a friend who's also a very satisfied customer, and one who's been a client for 15 years.

I have been a client of Tranquility Day Spa for 18 years. I have my hair colored and cut every 5 weeks. Cyndi and her assistant Bella are a pleasure to see. They are true professionals and are meticulous. My color is rich, shiny and consistant. People stop me all the time to compliment my cut. That makes me feel like a queen. Jody the proprietress, is a master at her profession. She has a wonderful gentle hand and I experience the dreamiest facials. She is the consumate professional. She examines your skin and based on that examination suggests the appropriate facial that your skin needs in order to replenish and heal. Lets face it ladies (and gentlemen), sun, age, the seasons, how much water we drink, winter dryness, effects us all. The staff at Tranquility are top notch. When you walk in you are made to feel like you are part of the family. Everyone makes you feel welcome and expected. Jody is very proud of her staff and takes pride in her business and it shows in the details. I would reccommend Tranquility to anyone who wants a true spa experience. After all, Ive been going for 18 years and I am proud of Jody and how her dream has grown into this wonderful reality, Tranquility. Go on, treat yourself!!!

If you are looking for quality treatment at a great spa this is it. Tranquility has just about everything one might look for, from professional massages and facials to wonderful products and gift items. Lets look a little closer: Staff: knowledgeable and friendly. They are warm and kind and would like nothing more than to cater to what you wish to receive, at least in terms of both facials and massages. (which was all i got there thus far.) All smiles at all times, conversational and informative. Service Variety and quality: They have an extensive product list that was quite impressive, including both new techniques as well as traditional products and techniques. While I've only gone there for a facial and a massage, i could see that this spa is made and designed to offer many services. The facial was great and so was my face after i left the place. Afterward, i was able to lay down and simply relax for about a half hour with candles and soothing music. This 30 minutes is something that not many people can afford these days and it was wonderful to have it to simply relax, breath and reflect. I was very pleased and felt like i got exactly what i paid for. The massage was also well done and left me feeling well worked and relaxed. Atmosphere: While many in past reviews complain about the layout of the place, i will strongly disagree. The area where they do pedicures, manicures and hairstyling is on one side of the building, which isolates that slightly noisier atmosphere away from the spa side. The spa side is pretty well designed. Everything is warm and comforting, with slight aromas that are noticeable and pleasant rather than overpowering. What this place may lose in terms of overall layout it more than makes up for in that it is situated in an older, quaint house that has much character. This gives it a homier experience rather than making me feel like I'm in a dentist office about to get a tooth drilled. Staff Expertise: The staff is more or less phenomenal. Jody, the manager is a terrific woman who beams with excitement and energy, but also the knowledge and intelligence that goes behind running an establishment that caters to so many people. The staff know that this is a place that caters to individual needs, rather than operating like a "move 'em in, move 'em out" type of place. I will recommend this place to anyone thinking about going a a place as professional as this. To whoever might visit Tranquility, enjoy your wonderful day, I'm positive that you will only experience the best, and leave feeling happy, beautiful and relaxed.

I've been a customer at Tranquility for close to ten years, and it's hard for me to believe that some of these reviews are for the same spa I visit! Without exception, I've found the owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to the facials I get here, my skin has never looked better, and Jody, the owner/facialist, has always respected my need to stick to a budget. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I've been coming to Tranquility for almost two years and have had nothing but positive experiences here. I get a facial and massage every six weeks or so and have always been extremely happy. The staff is pleasant and professional and tries to tailor the treatments to my particular desires and needs. My skin has never looked or felt better.

My time there was totally a waste of time. I went there a few months ago and didn't know that I could write a review. First of all when I had made the appointment I wanted my mother to come with me and get the same services as me and she would have, but they couldn't accommodate our request because they only have ONE pedicure chair. Are you kidding me, a place that calls themselves a spa/salon and only ONE pedicure chair? So needless to say, they lost that business. Second I walked in to what they consider a spa and it reeked of garlic and onions. NICE! The woman at the front desk was on the phone talking to someone and laughing and didn't even acknowledge my entrance. Nice again. Finally I got checked in and I was offered a cup of coffee (in a paper cup) and the cream was bad. When I went up for my facial I felt like I was being pressured to pay more for the most expensive facial because "I was really clogged and I needed it". I opted to just stay with the middle of the road facial and the woman who later I found out is the owner of the place, seemed to have an attitude that I didn't want to dish out the money for the 250.00 facial. The facial was so-so, not much of a scalp, shoulder massage and then I was left alone in the room for about 20 minutes. Never had that before. The music was about all that was nice about it. I could hear laughing and talking below where I was. I had to then get dressed and go to the other side of the so called spa and get undressed again and have a massage. Again, never had that before, very bad "flow" in this place. The massage was good. The last part was the pedicure and manicure. Nice service, nice girl, very funny and it was fun to listen to what the women in the salon were talking about. I just don't understand why they have the two areas at different parts of the spa. When it was time to pay I stood at the desk for a few minutes and then had to go look for someone to take my gift certificate. I had to bother the manicurist in the middle of her next manicure to go find someone and the receptionist and the owner both come out of some back room seeming annoyed at being bothered. Shouldn't someone be attending the desk to take money? At that point the owner was my best friend cause she was pushing product on me that was way way over priced. I have been to so many spas and this by far was the worst experience that I have ever had. I will never recommend this place to anyone. From the talk that I have heard is that the place used to be good but has gone down hill and seems more like a gift boutique than anything else.

I too never felt welcomed! The owner, I think her name was Jody, was extremely rude. We're talking zero customer service. I did on the other hand get a nice facial, but who whats to go to a place were you feel like their doing you a favor and pay around $150-175 for a facial.

Trust me on this one! Don't ever visit this spa. The owner never made me feel welcomed. She gave me the shortest facial ever. They try to sell you on their more expensive facials as well. I also had a massage which was nothing great at all. I visit spa's at least twice and year and have never had an experience like this! I had a haircut and color. I liked my haircut, but the color was off for my complexion and not at all what we talked about.
