Haircut with Silva was great! Fixed up my style, it looks awesome. A little pricey, but the cut was great.

Metropolis Event
I was invited to an event at this salon. by a friend who frequently books here. I was very pleased with the salon and the atomsphere. The entire staff was friendly and very inviting. My service was also very enjoyable. I would definitely return to try another service here!

Just what the Doctor ordered!
I received a few Spa Finders cards from my daughter for Christmas and I'll be sure to ask for more on my Birthday! My experience at Metropolis was truly wonderful. It was so luxurious and relaxing to have nice young girls give you a foot bath and wait on your every need before even before getting a nice body massage. The masseuse really listened to what I wanted, she really made me feel special. It was a bit noisy upstairs but the young man at the desk was really patient with me. I just loved everything and I'm so glad they took my spa cards, I will definitely ask for more and be going back to Metropolis again.

Costly, but an enjoyable experience
I love facials and this was excellent- relaxing ambience and atmosphere, and I felt soothed, calmed, and pampered. Worth every penny.

Never again
My first visit here was delightful - the atmosphere is serene once you get past the hectic upstairs salon. My second visit however, was horrible. I drove 40 minutes to the spa and was told that my appointment had been cancelled. The person at the desk was completely unapologetic and, quite frankly, obnoxious. She told me I could wait 2 hours for the next available appointment. This spa visit was a present to myself for my birthday. I asked to speak to the manager, who also was completely unwilling to accommodate me, despite the fact that it was the spa who had screwed up. I do not consider their actions and responses to be conducive to my relaxation and feeling pampered. I will never go back here again. The management had an opportunity to make this right and they chose not to.

High End Spa Experience
I have been to this spa a few times and love the atmosphere of the service waiting room. The staff always offers you tea or water while you soak your feet in a hot bath. They even refresh the water and neck warmer to keep you comfortable. I have had at least 5 massages here and found the best value is in the intense relief massage for 55 minutes.

Very Nice
Metropolis is very nice, lovely decor. Def high class, and you pay for it. It's true, some of the staff are a little stuck-up and snooty. The spa hostess walked past my mom and I multiple times and never offered us a glass of water like everyone else. We finally asked her for a glass of water kindly after waiting for at least 20 minutes. The hot neck wrap and foot soak were so nice and soothing and we definetly felt pampered in luxury while waiting. My mom was more than pleased with her facial and has already scheduled to go back again. My massage was about average. I will most likely be back again with my mom, but this time I will try another treatment.

If you have money to burn...
I had been a customer at Metropolis for years, and was always pretty happy with the services, despite being priced quite high. I didn't really mind paying $250 for full highlights and a cut if I only did the HL twice a year. The stylist always did a good job and I was pleased with the result. This past spring, my stylist received "a promotion" which raised the cost of a haircut to $85. A hair cut. $85.00, without tip. I decided that I was ready to move on and found another local salon whose best stylist charges $45 for a haircut, and believe it or not, she does a better job. If you have money to burn, Metropolis is your spa. Otherwise, there are plenty of alternatives out there that don't charge exorbitant rates.

Nasty reception
The services are very expensive and the staff push you through like cattle. The massage is very mediocre and the rest of the staff is always short and do not like to be bothered. They haven't yet realized that they are working in a service industy. The reception area is made up of unprofessional, overly made up woman, who hate their job and obviously dislike having to wait on affluent Princetonians. there are very few choices in Princeton, but you are better off going a little further to spas in Newtown and Pennington where most of the spas are better quality and much friendlier.

Expected a lot more for the price & for what I got
The feeling after my first time at Metropolis: I expected a lot more for what I got and for what they charge. I don't mind paying for spa treatments. But the receptionist was rude and being that it was my first time, she just handed me a ticket with services I made appointments for that day without any directions. I did not know I was supposed to wait at their other lounge area, but the second lady who helped me was really nice!! The lady who performed my services for the day was also nice but she did a horrible job for what they charge for - the filing job she did on a couple of my nails were crooked... I also saw another person check their cell phone a couple of times when she was providing service to a customer. She didn't talk on the phone but still for what they charge, that shouldn't happen. They only do the massage for the mani/pedi for about literally 20 seconds. I've gotten a better mani/pedi at regular walk-in nail salons for less than half the price. Receptionist at checkout was also really nice!! Another positive is that they are clean! Nice staff (except for that one receptionist) but regarding service, I expected more for what I paid for and got. They are also really busy and have a more futuristic simple decor/atmosphere so consider that if you want a more serene homelike atmosphere/decor. (They have an enclosed area for pedi which made the pedi okay.)

Teacher's Paradise
As a music teacher concert time can be particularly stressful. Add a daily 2 hour commute and my back and shoulders were a mess! My massage therapist was phpenomenal! She was not too deep with her hands nor was she too soft...she was JUST RIGHT! I left feeling rejuvinated, relaxed, and focused. I must agree, unfortunately, with another rater in that the staff member that I checked out with was rude and sort of shoved me out the door. Perhaps she had bad day we all do) but it wasn't my fault :( The woman who checked me in was kind, polite, and courtious. All in all, I will definitely be returning and probably with my husband!
