My family always gives me spa gift cards on holidays since they know I love my weekly spa visits. This was the first time i received a gift card for Dermage and I was very impressed with their services. My therapists were very well trained and the spa was charming as well as spotless. This was possibly best swedish massage and facial I've received in all of fairfield county.
My wife got me a gift card for reflexology since I walk a lot. The therapist was incredible with helping me with my various issues. My podiatrist does'nt even come close to making me feel half as good.
I decided to visit the spa for a 60 minute massage and bikini wax before my family and I went away. Beautiful setup, a lovely old building and friendly staff. My massage was incredible. I felt so relaxed and my therapist did a great job. My esthetician was really nice and she told me how to prepare for my waxing treatment. I let her know I have very sensitive skin and I was told "Don't worry. We have a really great wax." She chatted a little with me throughout my bikini wax which helped keep my mind off of the pain. The waxing still hurt unusually so. After, I noticed my skin looked pretty aggravated but she applied a product that she said would soothe it. By the time I got home I saw that I had obvious BRUISING where I had been waxed. I understand accidents can happen, but I was really disappointed and embarrassed. My husband and I had a beach trip planned and that bruising made it so I had to wear a cover up to the beach the whole time over my swimsuit. As I said, the massage was incredible at Dermage. I did like that. My waxing experience was horrifying. For the money I paid for that I don't expect to leave with bruising.

Dear SueG, We are so sorry regarding your waxing. Based on the information you provided in this review we are still unclear what could have caused this. In either case the bruising was unacceptable and we would like to have the opportunity to make this right for you. We searched our database for clients initials listed under SueG several weeks prior to your posting date of June 10th and cannot find a corresponding name with the waxing. We realize most people don't use their real names online so would you please contact us upon your receipt of this reply. Thank you, Dermage Spa.
I bought my wife a couples massage as a valentines gift. Normally I dont do "spa's", but i actually really enjoyed it and my wife totally enjoyed it. Definetly recommended.
My wife bought me a massage and facial at your spa and while I was all for the massage, which was tremendous, I was reluctant about the facial - wow, was I wrong and very happy that this was part of my treatment. The two services together made for an extraordinary experience and I have since recommended to you anyone I know. Excellent therapists, welcoming environment and very friendly staff. Keep up the good work - my wife and I are coming back for a couples massage.
A pretty spa with a homey feel. I had a great aromatic massage with a charming European woman. In between my services my clothes were taken out of the massage room and brought downstairs to where the facialists are. I think a locker room would be a great addition to their setup...much more organized. The facial itself was really good but my technician left me alone in the room for quite some time with a mask on. After I asked for an eyebrow waxing and my technician was glad to do it. I don't know what kind of wax they use but it caused me to break out in little pimply bumps the next day. Maybe it was too much activity combined with the facial. Overall I left relaxed and got some samples.
