About Body Rhythms Massage & Spa
The goal of Body Rhythms Spa is to achieve total customer satisfaction through service, integrity and education. Comprising the two upper levels of Kailua-Kona’s iconic Lighthouse building on Hawaii’s Big Island, the spa offers a 360-degree view of the town, the Pacific Ocean and the Kona coast. The walls of this intimate pseudo-nautically themed spa are painted in a butter yellow with white accents adorning the doors, reception desks and shelving. The spa prides itself on having treatments that last for a full one hour, and services include massage, body scrubs and wraps, acupuncture, facials, waxing, lash and brow tinting and twelve “Bonus Packages.” Complimentary water, Perrier and showers are available for guests as well.

My husband and I had spafinder gift cards and wanted to treat ourselves to a massage while visiting Hawaii. We just didn't want to do anymore driving and pay the extreme resort prices. I saw that Body Rhythms, in Kona, had high ratings so we decided to give them a try. Wow! We both had great massages in a very clean and well-maintained facility. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We have recommended them to friends and relatives on the island. We will certainly book another massage, or two, when we return.

I'm a "spa dog", and am experienced in the ways of the spa. Body Rhythms might be tiny, but they make exceedingly good use of their space: including a shower, multiple massage modalities / treatment rooms and a very very chilled out vibe. I'm not sure, but I think they called in a therapist just for me given what I requested, but they did this in such a way that I don't know for sure, so you don't feel horrible for intruding on someone's day off. Finding the lighthouse is easy, if driving, finding the teensy entryway might take a few go-arounds, but, really, as long as you can park, who cares about the parking lot at a spa? These guys get top marks, especially for the all-around experience, e.g. while you're completing the intake form, you get a free foot soak. Highly recommended, will definitely be going there again. Oh, and the up top area with a telescope is a great spot post-massage.

I would highly recommend Body Rhythms. The facility is clean and comfortable. Dave greets everyone warmly and in a professional manner. I have been there multiple times and Angela has been an incredible therapist. For years I have battled back pain that restricts most activities. For the first time my pain meds have been reduced and my range of motion has improved. Everyone looking for a fantastic massage should visit Body Rhythms.

I recently relocated to the Big Island and have been in the process of looking for a good massage place. In Seattle, we were spoiled because there are so many good places. So far, my husband and I have tried about seven different places ranging from luxury resort spas to the discount student massages at massage schools.
Body Rhythms has the best combination of price, atmosphere and service quality I have found. One of the reasons I moved to the Island is to experience the Aloha spirit. The owner David has created a warm, friendly atmosphere that is instantly welcoming and relaxing. The facilities are very clean and well appointed.
Angela is one of the best massage therapists I have found. She possesses the perfect combination of trigger point techniques combined with smooth, flowing strokes. Unlike some therapists, she is very intuitive and seems to find all those tight knots and kinks that are causing my body distress and removes them.
If you are looking for a quality massage experience at a reasonable price combined with down to earth, friendly people, then check out Body Rhythms.

I met David and Angela when I came to Kailua-Kona to race Ironman Hawaii.
I was a mess! My legs were tight with lots of adhesions, my shoulders were immobile, I was stressed out about the race and really needed some TLC and also some smart bodywork from somebody who knew their anatomy.
David booked me, made sure everything was set up perfectly when I arrive, and then Angela worked on me several times during race week. She was incredibly intuitive and had me completely prepared by the time the race rolled around, with every muscle feeling good and doing what it was supposed to. Plus, both her and David are a pleasure to talk to and they're very nice and trustworthy people.
I *highly* recommend - not just for Ironman triathletes - but for anyone who wants a very good massage and an excellent experience.
And by the way, I PR'd at the race with a 9:36!
