The spa strives to offer simplicity from the noninvasive procedures offered to the ease of scheduling appointments and the highly trained staff that provides detailed explanations of services; posh is how the spa wants its clients to feel while they enjoy their treatments. The esthetic facility aims to not only improve appearance and self-esteem, but also guests’ overall state of mind. Visitors to the spa will find an 800-square-foot facility that maintains a minimalist yet luxurious atmosphere, with amenities that include three treatment rooms, a 15-jet showerhead with bamboo wooden floors and modern, energy-efficient equipment. Simply Posh Aesthetic Spa is affiliated with Advanced Dermatology, P.C., which specializes in dermatology, cosmetic noninvasive skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, fat reduction and plastic surgery procedures. Jayme Bashian, LME

Jayme Bashian, LME, is head medical esthetician at Simply Posh Aesthetic Spa and a New York State-licensed medical esthetician. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in education, Bashian received her esthetics degree from the Long Island Skin Institute. Jayme comes with many years of experience working in esthetic medical settings alongside doctors specializing in advanced esthetics and cosmetic surgery. She remains current on the constantly evolving field of skin care and cosmetic treatments by routinely attending workshops, journals and continuing education seminars and by working extensively with Advanced Dermatology’s dermatologists.

Joshua L. Fox, MD, FAAD

Joshua L. Fox, MD, FAAD, is the medical director of the spa and a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Fox earned his medical degree from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed an internship at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, followed by a four-year dermatology residency at the New York University School of Medicine. A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Fox has expertise in skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and laser procedures. As the official spokesperson for the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, he has been an expert resource for the public interest on dermatologic topics for major television networks, radio stations and national newspapers and magazines. Dr. Fox has received multiple research and clinical awards, including recognition from Top Doctors, Who’s Who, the International Society of Dermatology and the prestigious Husic Award for most outstanding research. In addition, his service has been recognized by multiple hospitals and civic, educational and community organizations. He has been on the advisory boards of both the Psoriasis Foundation and National Rosacea Foundation, among others. With an extensive background in research, Dr. Fox has presented his findings on a wide range of subjects, from laser techniques and cosmetic procedures to stretch marks and scars. He has been chief of dermatology of several major teaching hospitals such as Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens and Jamaica Medical Center, and is currently on the staff of 10 New York-area hospitals. In 1987, Dr. Fox founded the AAD Melanoma/Skin Cancer Prevention Program in Queens, New York, and has been working to develop effective community screening programs and to increase skin cancer awareness and prevention. He later developed a dermatology and skin cancer research and advocacy forum for patients and physicians called the New Age Skin Research Foundation. Dr. Fox is also founder and director of Advanced Dermatology, P.C., and the Center for Laser and Cosmetic Surgery.
