Good Technicians Horrible ReceptionistBy TaliseM | March 12, 2012

Went to this Spa on the 9th of March (2012), I had an early appointment. I was greeted by the technician who was friendly and professional. The service she and one other technician provided was good, however; when service was finished I had the misfortune of having to deal with their horrible receptionist.
She (receptionist) didn't speak, nor did she offer any assistance after I stood in her face for over a minute. It wasn't like she was on a call or that there was assisting any other customers in the spa. This was a very rude young woman.
Upon leaving, I saw owner and present this experience to her, she did not apologize for this behavior. She suggested maybe it's because she (receptionist) has a business like attitude. Now I have been running business and consulting for other business for many years, and the one thing I know is that Good customer service is a key to any business being successful. So to say that she has a business attitude, tells me this place has no idea of how to run a business. So my warning to any future customers, if you want more than a good technician, avoid this place.

I recently visited this spa for the first time. I had heard from friends that it was a great place to go for massages, facials etc. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the spa is beautiful, however, while I was in the back changing I noticed a "questionable" hair on one of the robes hanging on the door. Everything else about the spa is wonderful, the staff, their products, etc. I'm not sure if it hadn't been washed or someone put it on and took it back off but I was completely grossed out. I would recommend paying a little closer to detail & cleanliness, otherwise everything else was great!

At WTE we work hard to take care of every detail, and cleanliness is #1. We have signs posted on where to put your used robe, but not everyone reads them. I promise to work harder on checking on the robes. Thanks for the input. It's important for us to be the best! Babette

<3 Good Visit to a Cute SpaBy AmandaK | October 14, 2009

My cousin and I recently visited the spa. I treated her to a morning of massages, mani and pedis b/c she was getting married the next day. The staff was great about making her feel special and everyone congratulated her. The staff was friendly and ladi back. The spa had nice decor and was tucked away and small in size (which I liked). The massage included hot stones... which was a surprise and nice treat!!! We enjoyed our "spa day" and I would def. go back to the spa. The ONLY thing that I would change is the music. We had relaxing music in our massge.... but in the nail room, they played 99.1 mix radio station and in my waxing room, they played rock radio. I think they should have music that inspires relaxation throughout the whole spa. Otherwise, are visit was a 10+!! Thanks to the friendly staff anf owner (especially Bethany, Melissa, Lily and Laura)

Surprise - there is a diamond in the rough in Cypress!! You must check out Waiting to Exhale Day Spa; it was pure luxury. First, you have to find it though. It's tucked in a back corner of a small shopping center with a too small sign. This place deserves a BIG sign!
We spent the afternoon having spa pedicures and it was wonderful! Lily was thorough and very gentle - perfect for sensitive feet. The tools were sterilized and the entire place was very clean and well-maintained. The owner made several trips by the pedi-room to see how things were going. Nice touch. We heard all about the facials and massages and know that we'll be back! Seems like a great place to send friends and family with gift certificates.

My husband purchased a "royal treatment" packagefor me so I got to experience a facial, massage and mani-pedi there. The place was clean and serene. The staff was polite. My facial was with Lauren. Overall her facial was good. She gave a good cleaning but was light on the extractions for my personal taste. On the bright side, when the facial was done my face wasn't filled with splotchy red marks. She also gave a relaxing foot and lower leg massage.
Kirsty performed my massage. I was getting the hot rock massage so she explained what the process was going to be like before we got started. She started with my face and did NOT use oil on my face. The last thing you want it massage oil on your face. She used the rocks all over in conjunction with sweeping firm hand movements. She kept quiet during the massage which is nice. I didn't feel like being chatty. She almost put me to sleep.
Lilly did my mani and pedi. She was super sweet. I observed how meticulous they were with the used tools. The cleaned them properly and put them in the sterilizers.
The owner was making the rounds and asked howI was doing whenever I passed by in between sessions. Its nice to see a hands on owner.
The womens locker room was clean and I saw the owner in there tidying up the place.
I was impressed with all of my services and the cleanliness. I will be back.

A Great Find!By Userette | July 12, 2006

Although small, Waiting To Exhale is a great find! Located in a back corner of a strip shopping center, I was impressed with just how wonderful and QUIET the spa really was. "Beautiful" was my first thought - pale greens give the spa a calming and relaxing atmosphere! I think there is only one facial room and only one massage room, but there are two manicure stations and four pedicure stations. I never had to wait more than two minutes between appointments! The waiting area was stocked with fresh fruit and pastries and juice (it was morning) and water. The staff were kind and most eager to help. The manicure and pedicure implements were in BLUE solution (not watered down!) and the whole place appeared to be very clean! I really enjoyed my experience and would go back - especially since it is so close to home! I recommed it to anyone wanting a wonderful experience at a good value and not far from home!
