About Spa Toccare at Borgata

Opened in 2003, Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is one of the newest and largest gaming hotels in the northeastern United States. Situated in Atlantic City's marina district, away from the famous boardwalk, the 29-acre hotel associates itself with the glamour, glitz, and top-shelf entertainment of Las Vegas rather than the no-frills atmosphere for which Atlantic City is known. A 2006 renovation added hundreds more slot machines and a brand-new poker room as well as three five-star eateries (including one whose executive chef is the world-renowned Wolfgang Puck). The 54,000-square-foot (5,016 square meters) Spa Toccare offers ultra-luxurious European spa treatments that may temporarily entice even the most ardent high-rollers away from the tables.

The entire complex was constructed with an eye toward drawing a young, sophisticated crowd. The hotel's ultra-modern design (glass sculptures enliven the casino and public areas) and abundant entertainment options cater to those whose expectations exceed an unadorned evening at the tables. The Up All Night Package pampers the party-prone by including accommodations, dinner buffet, comedy club admission, and beverages at one of two on-property bars. Other packages include spa services for couples or individuals. Active guests can maintain their exercise regimens at the Pump Room, where exercise machines come equipped with flat-screen televisions.

Menu of Services

Spa Toccare at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is a 54,000-square-foot (5,016 square meters) complex emphasizing style and elegance. In keeping with the resort's Vegas-influenced atmosphere of lavishness and luxury, the spa features above-and-beyond customer service, a panoply of pampering extras, and a rich color scheme dominated by slate, apricot, and sapphire hues. In the waiting room, spa-goers watch a plasma-screen television while waiting to be escorted to one of the spa's 31 wet and dry treatment areas. The especially extravagant couple's treatment rooms have private bathrooms, lounges, and whirlpools.

Spa services incorporate a variety of high-end European skincare and beauty products. Epicuren and Naturopathica products are used in signature treatments such as the Borgata Glow Facial, involving an enzyme-rich citrus cleanser designed to stimulate rejuvenating activity in skin cells. The Toccare Touch is a signature massage that commences with a ritual application of essential oils to the navel and radiates outward to the entire body with choreographed movement-based bodywork. All spa facials can be adjusted to answer the skincare needs of male clients.

Men's and women's thermal suites encompass steam room, shower, black marble sauna, and whirlpools with gushing fountains. The spa also offers access to the hotel's 15,000-square-foot (1,393 square meters) indoor pool and garden facilities, where clients can repair post-treatment with a swim or a drink from the wet bar on the veranda.

At the Pump Room, Spa Toccare's fully equipped fitness center, guests can work out on weight-training and conditioning equipment. Cardio machines have built-in video screens as well as a selection of entertainment options.

Great spa!
Have had massages and body treatments here. Staff is professional and well experienced. Waiting area could be more private/nicer. Overall a nice place and worth trying.

Overall Good Experience with Some Exceptions
Three other bridesmaids and I took my cousin to AC for her bachelorette party. We decided to treat her for a blowout and massage. We had some issues getting our car at the hotel and were delayed in getting to our hair appointments. I did not appreciate the attitude and behavior of the staff when we arrived. While the spa was eventually able to accommodate us, one of the hairdressers made a point to remind our group in a not-so-friendly way that we were late and she could only do so much in the time that was left. I understand her frustration but there was no need to repeat this in front of the bride-to-be, especially when we said we were out for her bachelorette weekend. The blowouts and massages were good but some of the staff could use a lesson in etiquette.

First and best massage ever!
Fellow bridesmaids and I took my cousin here for her bachelorette party. She and I had a traditional Swedish massage. The massage and atmosphere was so relaxing and soothing that I didn't want to leave!

The Best Spa Anywhere
Spa Toccare has it all - clean, relaxing facilities, top notch professional services and amenities that leave me daydreaming for my next visit. There is a relaxation room with juices, teas, water, fruit, etc. Plenty of comfortable seating and even couches for lounging (when it's not too crowded). The hot tub area has chaise lounges, cold water, cucumber slices and cold towels for your eyes, 3 hot tubs and a wet and dry sauna. If you have a treatment, you are welcome to spend the day there and I love to nap and read next to the hot tub, listening to the waterfall. The treatments are top notch and the rooms are spacious and quiet. The couples room is amazing with a private jacuzzi, fireplace, living room area. There are plenty of showers and all the amenities you could want are available. I love spas and visit one everywhere I travel, and so far I have not found a spa to top Toccare!

An amazing time which I didn't expect!
I wasn't sure what to expect at Spa Toccare since I was spoiled at the Immersion Spa at the Water Club....and I knew that this place was older and probably not in the same class....but I have to tell you....one of the most pleasant surprises I have experienced! This was one of the most relaxing afternoons I have spent at a spa....the relaxation room which was large and comfy had the March Madness tournament on which was a plus! And the steam room was large and relaxing as was the sauna....the pool was great too! While the massage itself was ok, I still left with an incredible relaxing mood and can't wait to return! Would definitely recommend it for guys! You won't regret it!

Still love it, but it used to be in better condition
I love this place - I've come a couple times a year over the past 3 or so years with family, and it's always been great - the treatments are wonderful, the attendants friendly, & there's a very comfortable vibe...you can come and hang out after treatments in the spa/sauna area, & healthy snacks are available. Over the last year or so, though, it looks like the facility itself has started to decline and could use a little repair - the waterfall feature in the main sauna tub has been down for over a year, and now the jets in that same tub are going. Some of the lockers are starting to go, too - I had one that had problems, and so did another woman while I was there. Small complaints for a place I love & would still go back too, but some of the services are starting to slip, too - there's no longer any cold water supplied in the hot tub/sauna area, iced washrags are hardly ever available, and not to be mean, but nobody wants to see the towel cart dragged repeatedly through the sauna area while you're relaxing -I heard several people complain about that as well. I love this place, but these small points are making the place decline in terms of service and appearance...it's just not as spiffy as it used to be, & needs a little tune up.

Good Spa
Overall great experience although I was not informed of exactly what I needed to bring to treatment (a bathing suit for the whirpool) and the staff did not always speak in the most calm relaxing manner but instead ordered me around a bit. Would visit again, I just recommend better staff training and customer service

Great message - facility & service diappointing
The Complete Retreat message was fantastic - sweedish massage with hot towels placed over each area after massaged - felt great! However, before the treatment, I used the facilities which was disappointing. I waited 5 minutes before someone finally checked me in (no one was at the desk). There are no clocks (which can be good), but I used the steam and sauna, had no idea of the time until a person barked my name and annoyingly said the therapist was waiting for me. I was also told i needed to wear a bathing suit, which I did not have, and was given disable briefs - to which i then saw another person bare - rules should apply to all. There were 3 hot tubs, which I assumed were hot, warm and a cold plunge, and was disappointed all were the same temperature. After taking a shower and washing my hair, I discovered, although there are hair dryers, there are no brushes or comes. Treatments are great, but facilty and service can be better.

Awesome!!!
I was a Spa Virgin but after my experience at spa Toccare I am going to become a Spa Junkie!! I never felt more relaxed. I had the Body renewal scrub, I treated myself for my birthday and I loved every minute of it. The facility is great I just wish I had more time to take advantage of the Sauna and jacuzzi but i will definitely go back. Nancy was awesome.

Amazing!
We were not staying at the Borgata, but decided to have a girls' day at Spa Toccare. A group of us went for a massage. We each had massages in our own rooms, but were free to enjoy the facilities as a group. From the moment we walked in the door everything is so relaxing, dimly lit and just overally luxurient. Everything was sparkling clean. There were sugarered mango slices, ice cold beverages, and comfy couches while we waited. After the treatment we were all free to use the spa room, sauana, steam room and locker room as well as the Borgata pool for the remainder of the day. We ended up spending most of the day there and had such a wonderful time. I'd really recommend it to everyone.

not coming back
I just got off the phone with the manager of the spa - my daughter and I were very unhappy with how we were treated at the end, we were there for the day and at 8pm the lifeguard told us we had to leave - and would not let us use the bathroom to change out of our wet bathing suits. The spa attendant would not let us quickly change either - at the end of the day, with no one there. we were only there for the day so we had no room to go change in, but even if we did we would not want to walk around dressed like that. The manager offered us a day pass for our trouble - we won't be going back and I will be contesting the (very high!) charges on my credit card.

Spa Factory
I had a stone massage and facial. The spa is very nice, however it felt like a factory. It was very busy and it felt as if they just kept moving people in and out in a hurry. I enjoyed the spa, but I honesty feel that Milagro in Red Bank has better services. The best part of this spa is the facility. The women's locker room is amazing. I would go back just to hang out in there.

The best!!!!
I make it a point at least twice a year to go to Spa Toccare for the wonderful treatments, but also for the beautiful surroundings and tranquility the spa offers. Another big plus: the fitness room has an amazing array of machines...way more than most hotel gyms. I absolutely adore this place!

Fantastic Experience
My husband and I go to the Borgata a few times a year and always make a point to visit Spa Toccare. I've had both the traditional Swedish massage and the prenatal massage and have had excellent experiences each time I have gone. The service is great and the spa is clean and serene.

Very Nice.
I have had a couple of massages here including a prenatal massage. They were unbelievable, particularly the prenatal one, which can be a bit tricky. I highly recommend this for any expectant mom.

Used a gift cert
I had a gift certificate from friends and chose to use it when I was in the Atlantic City area. I opted for the Borgata since they had more of what I was looking for in treatments. I ended up having to use my whole gift cert, which was NOT explained to me when I booked, but they were able to set me up with an additional service around the same time as my first treatment and both were wonderful. I would go back there in a heartbeat. I would like to spend more time there though. That was the original plan to spend an hour relaxing after the massage, but due to my time constraints, I had to leave. I would suggest it to anyone in the area.

Great Time in Borgata Spa
Spa in Borgata is always a hit for me. It's very clean, great service and amazing therapists. Wrilpool/sauna area is great as well. This is where you can relax, read, eat apples ( take it from the waiting area), drink cold water and forget how much money you lost the night before. This is a great place to get together with your girlfriends as well.

great spa- not too crowded, relaxing and excellent services. the relaxation area is small, but it's not usually too crowded, so it's ok. The whirlpool area is huge, which is great.

Depends on the day and the Tech
I have been to the Spa at Borgata 3 times. This last one was very disappointing. I hope it was a glich:( the facilities are amazing. I was not impressed by my technician, she was very nice but the massage was OK. For 180.00 I would like more than OK. I hope to go back and have the same experience of the other two times!! I was also not happy about not being able to use the pool and sauna the next day. Our appointment was late in the afternoon and we were not able to stay because of dinner reservations. I think they should offer a 24 hour pass for use of the facilities.

I love to relax at spa toccare. Its the best spa in South Jersey! I travel from NY every three weeks to get my facial done with Tara. I tell everyone about the spa and its amazing treatments. Now my friends go and we make a beautiful day out of it. Try the Borgata Glow Facial.

Best Spa in the world!!!!
I've been to this spa twice and both times it has been amazing!!! Not only were the treatments wonderful but the spacious locker room area was just as great. It was so nice to know that I didn't have to hurry out right after the treatment. The room with the whirlpools is so relaxing and such a nice touch to have lounge chairs so we can just relax and not feel rushed. I love this spa!

A vacation away without leaving the country!
I have visited this spa many times and have enjoyed a variety of their services offered. (The sensitive skin facial and reflexology treatments are my favorites!) The staff is personable and professional. The services offered are wonderful! The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. I have also enjoyed the services of the Salon. I highly recommend visiting this Casino and Spa. I have found that their services are more reasonably priced than those at spas that are closer to my home and have had better experiences at the Borgata!

Facilities & Amenities

Borgata offers a distinctively sophisticated gaming experience in its casino. Roulette, keno, baccarat, and craps are among the table games available in this 125,000-square-foot (11,613 square meters) gaming facility. Nearly 20 varieties of slots await players with stakes as high as $1,000 per try. At the blackjack table, a brisk pace of play is maintained by the thoughtful addition of a seventh comfy chair to the familiar sextet. Poker is the signature offering here, as evidenced by the June 2006 unveiling of a separate 85-table poker room. All in all, more than 35,000 square feet (3,252 square meters) of casino floor space was added as a result of the renovation.

Gaming is hardly all Borgata has to offer, however. The Event Center, a 2,400-seat entertainment venue, regularly hosts high-profile artists such as Ashlee Simpson, Gwen Stefani, and Aerosmith. There is also the stadium-style Music Box, a more intimate theater for musical and comedic performances.

The MIXX nightclub is a two-story nightclub that encompasses a dance floor and lounge area with spacious, comfortable couches. mur.mur is another fabulous locale for all-night revelry.
