After reading the reviews for Anasa spa I was really looking forward to a day of pampering. I got a package which included a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. The massage was just a rub down it was nothing special, I was very disappointed. The facial was okay but again nothing special. The staff was very welcoming and polite but Tthe facility was not well kept, there was garbage on the floor and when it came time to do my nails it was a mess. They were not cleaned properly and the paint job looked like I did it at home and messed up. For all the money I payed this was a waste of time and money. I would never got back, this place was not a spa experience.. Very disappointed.

After having gone to a variety of spas and spending a variety of money, I found this place very reasonably priced and the service and atmosphere were great. Loved my massage!

I started going to Anasa when I lived in Astoria. Now I'm in Sunnyside, and I still make the trip every few months (I'd go much more often, but money's tight). The staff is always super-friendly, and I always feel great after my massage and facial. The 10% discount for booking in advance is a nice bonus.

I recently visited Anasa with my boyfriend for a "couples massage." I thought from all the reviews that it would be great, and having been to a number of massage places before, I had high expectations. First of all, the Spa had no heat. I mentioned how cold it had been during the treatment to the owner at the front desk, and the response I got was "yeah, there's no heat today, but we're doing our best." (it was december, a call in the morning giving me the option of coming would have been nice.) Second of all, our "candlelit massage," as described by the website, was nothing more than 2 separate rooms with a sliding wall that was partially opened. The massage itself was ok, but nothing more than your standard rub down. The facility is definitely clean, but for the price, I really didn't think the experience was worth it. After the whole heat thing and indifferent response from the staff, I won't go back, nor would I recommend this place.

Response fromAnasa Day Spa

We are sorry your "couples massage" didn't turn out as you hoped. We were having our heat checked the day of your "couples massage"to accommodate our clients we had individual heaters in the room. This was temporary while the technician was adjusting the heat. We apologize for any inconvenience. We were doing our best to accommodate you. Our prices are very reasonable and compared to places around us we are priced below average. -spa management

Extremely clean, calming ambience, and very talented staff! I had probably the best massage ever, better than Manhattan spas, and their signature facial was superb. Will definitely visit again!!

I went to Anasa several times already. It is a bit pricy, but nvertheless I'm definitely going back. If it was 20% cheaper I would go more pften. A masseuse Gabby is amazing! I felt reborn after her treatement. I had a stif neck and a lower back pain for a long time. After the third treatement I had no more pains. I was so used to those pains that I thought I could never get rid of them. I did have massages before, and they would be enjoyable, but no benefits afterwards.I would wholeheartedly recommend Gabby to any of you who have similar problems. Once you try, you'll understand what I'm talking about.I do have one objection. Last time when I was there the music in the room was too loud, and I couldn't relax completely. I made a mistake when I decided not to mention it. Still enjoyed the massage though.

I went to Anasa and got a 90 minute massage. I had a lot of tension in my neck and upper back and my masseuse Gabby did an amazing job of working every spot on my back to release that tension. I feel amazing. I am definitely going back!

I recently experienced the "Hush in Heaven" spa package. Each service was coordinated perfectly. I really enjoyed the customized facial by Toula...actually fell asleep during it. The swedish massage was intense...it was obvious that Peter knew his craft; his technique was beyond good. My mani/pedi was a great finishing touch. I agree that it does not pay to travel to NYC for a day of expert pampering. I recommend this spa...even booked my next appointment before leaving!

I've lived in the area for thirty years and never knew this spa was nearly in my backyard, about 10 blocks from my home. I thought I would have to search Manhattan for a decent spa just to find this magnificent one right in the heart of Long Island City. This was a first spa experience for me. A friend and I decided for our birthdays we would treat ourselves to a day at the spa. It was lovely! The staff was welcoming and patient. I enjoyed the "Hush In Heaven" package and it was more than expected. Renaldo took care of my massage *****stars. Toula my facial, manicure and pedicure *****stars. Comfortable atmosphere, will be returning again and again!
