I recently was a guest for a girls spa day and i was very pleased with my experience. We enjoyed alone time in the quiet room that was decorated fabulously! My massage and facial were the absolute best! Afterward i enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by the spa. The only reason i didn't give this spa a 5 star rating is because my mani and pedi were pretty average. It felt like they ran out of money when it was time to renovate that area of the spa. Overall, I had a great time and i will certainly return for a facial and massage!

This spa was very nice. It was clean & relaxing. The massage was relaxing, the nail techs where nice & professional and the facial was relaxing. They also treated me to lunch, I will definitely be returning to this spa soon.

I recently relocated to Richmond.A dear friend treated me to a day of pampering including a facial, manicure, pedicure, massage and lunch!The staff was knowledgeable and friendly! I am looking forward to making this a monthly treat!

I received my first prenatal massage here and it was fantastic. My massage therapist was one of the best I've had and I felt completely relaxed afterwards. The only complaint I have is that the walls between the rooms are very thin, at least the two up front and, consequently, I could hear the customer next door periodically moan during his massage. It was a bit distracting at times and slightly uncomfortable. But overall, I could get past it to enjoy my massage. Hopefully when I return, this won't happen again because I'm definitely going back!!

I'm a wedding planner and a client of mine purchased a 90 min deep tissue massage for me. I live Downtown so I was discouraged that the salon was so far away from me and in a shopping center. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere is perfect! The receptionist was warm and friendly, my massage with Dennis was thorough, professional and JUST what I needed after a long wedding season. They even have a quiet room with coffee, water, tea and snacks to pull yourself together before heading out to the real world again. I'm definetly coming back! I want to try their facials and manicures next.

Upon arrival, the receptionist offered a beverage (served in a real glass). The waiting room is peaceful, smells wonderful and is relaxing. At the appointed time, Dee took me back for a thorough spa pedicure = BEST EVER!! I loved it and can't wait to go back! From the moment I walked in, every staff member I came in contact with was very friendly. They wanted to make sure my every need was met. I loved that everything was clean and look forward to going back for other pedicures as well as to try some of their many other services (when walking past their other treatment rooms, they look clean and well appointed)! We had a irls day of pampering and this place did it! We enjoyed our day very much. I had an hour massage, hour facial, and a spa mani/spa pedi. They served us lunch and we enjoyed our lunch w a lass of wine. They know how to pamper you here and the prices were not outrageous either!

When I arrived for my hot stone massage, the entry area was nicely decorated and comfortably warm unlike some places. The massage room was a little too dark in my opinion with the dark walls as well as the dim lighting. The therapist did a good job with the treatment but I would have thought that more of a scented lotion would have been used during the session. Overall, it was a good session and I would definitely consider going back again.

I have been all over the U.S. and Europe and have had SO MANY massages. From the moment I called Renewal Day Spa for an appointment I got the royal treatment. When I walked in the door I felt like a princess... I had the Pamper Package and it was the BEST... I asked to speak to the owner and after speaking with her I realized why everyone was so good there.... It was by far the best massage I've EVER had!! I plan on making monthly visits, more if possible... I would highly recommend this spa!! No wonder they have such GREAT reviews!!

My wonderfully amazing husband sent me to the spa for an entire day for the first time ever! I am a mom of 5 kids so it was very much appreciated! I had a package that included a hydrotherapy bath, massage, facial and mani/pedi. The only thing I've ever had before was a mani/pedi! The best part of this experience, other than feeling like i was in another world, was the expertise of the service. Everyone is very friendly and knows what they are doing. To show my appreciation, i am sending my husband for a massage!

My daughter treated me to my first ever pedicure at Renewal Day Spa and it was wonderful! I never seem to treat myself this way so it was a great experience. Plus we spent time together which I loved. Also, someone noticed on the form I filled out that the next week was my birthday and brought me a cupcake with a candle! My sister scheduled a day for her and I to receive a seaweed wrap and a facial. Never had a seaweed wrap in my life, so I was very skeptical. However, it was the best ever and so relaxing. The technician professional skills were superb and the atmosphere was tranquil. At the time I was very stressed and at the end of the session, I was very relaxed. In regards to my facial, I went in thinking I was receiving a chemical peel but I ended up having a procedure performed, called lamprobe to remove the numerous fibromas from my facial area. The owner had explained to me the chemical peel would not benefit my skin because of the fibromas. I was really appreciative of her honesty of not allowing my to pay for something that would not be benificial. This tells me she cares about her customers results because we are representatives of Renewal Day Spa. All I can tell you is my face has cleared up tremendously, smooth, and I am a very satisfied customer. I continue to receive her treatments monthly as my face continues to clear for a clearer complexion after 4 months. Although, it is a lengthy process I am well on my way in having beautiful skin and it is well worth it. Thank you Renewal Day Spa I feel alive again.

I was very pleased with the service I received last Saturday. My husband purchased a gift package for me last Christmas that included a 30 min massage, 30 facial, and 30 min manicure and pedicure. They were extremely accommodating and let me upgrade to an hour facial for only a small charge. All the staff were very friendly and all the services I received were top notch. I have been going to spas over the past 15 years and I must say this is one of my favorites!

This is the best spa I have ever been to! I love the fact that you can incorporate a nice soothing jetted bath right before your massage. Wonderful! Also, this was the first time that I received full consultation after a facial. Thank you so much! My face was a mess when I came in and after the facial, it was brand spanking new and two days after, my face is almost completely healed and acne free! Definitely want to visit this spa again. I frequent spas in domestic and international travel and I wanted to let you guys know that your spa is one of the best! Truly the most professional experience. I recently went to another spa and had a horrid experience. Everyone at your spa that I encountered was more than friendly, willing to help and the atmosphere was so calming. Brooke who did my Brazilian was absolutely perfect she is knowledgeable, very friendly and seems to care about her work, you do not find many people with the professionalism and experience such as Brooke she is a true gem. My Manicure and Pedicure from Tang was one of the best experiences...truly amazing..the facility is spotless...I enjoy being able to select my own lotions..so many nail colors to choose from..you can enjoy many non alcoholic and alcohol beverages while you are being pampered. I have had so many compliments on my nails since receiving my mani from Tang..no one believes that my nails are real...she took her time and made sure they were just the way I wanted! This was my first time going to a spa so I chose Renewal day spa because of all the good reviews. I am glad I did because I enjoyed everything about it! The staff were very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable. The environment was pleasant and the music was soothing. They served lunch and wine which was very tasty as well. I have visited this spa several times, for several services. The manicures and pedicures are fantastic quality with a great variety of colors and options. They recently advised me to try a new powder mani. I love it! Brooke is a wonderful athesthetician and waxing technician. Very professional and knowledgeable. I decided to go to this spa after reading some of the great reviews on the spa finder site & I am so glad I did! I left a voice message earlier that day before they were opened, to see if I could get a same-day appointment. The spa opens at 10am, and at 10:07 I received a call from them saying they had an opening for me. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable & relaxed. Then when Jamila was doing my facial, I did not want it to end! It was awesome! She went above & beyond my expectations. I will definitely be making more visits!

I have been to Renewal Day Spa twice for Acne Facial treatments. After seeing a dermatologist for almost a year and not getting good results, I decided to see if an acne facial would help. After just one visit my face looked MUCH better. After the second visit my skin was mostly clear. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone in the Richmond area.

I visited Renewal Day Spa yesterday 8/25/2011 and had a wonderful experience. I had a hot stone massage by Jamilla (hope that is the correct spelling) and really loved that. Very relaxing and I felt good afterwards. I then had a pedicure and I am just addicted to them. Michelle done my nails and she just does a sooo much better job than I ever would. So it's well worth the money. Everyone is friendly and professional and seems to enjoy working there. I can highly recommend it! Andrea

Staff member Kristin, gave the worst massage I've ever had. It was a complete waste of time and money as she obviously does not understand how to give a massage. She spent the first fifteen minutes on one spot on my shoulder and failed to give emphasis to the area I had specified. Not sure what her concern or issue was. All around poor experience.

I had so many lazier treatments at another facility for my facial veins, and Mrs Tang took care of them in one hour with ease, I can't believe the difference in my completion, fantastic. I am so grateful to Mrs Tang..Thank you Belinda Elam

My husband booked a couples massage for my birthday weekend. We were greeted at the door by a warm smile and a glass of wine. The decore was very neutral and welcoming. The couples massage was a wonderful experience. However, the one thing that made my birthday was the facial. The owner performed my facial. She did extractions and completely smoothed out the texture of my skin in one visit. She was very knowledgable about acne and I was super impressed at how she explained everything she was doing to my face and the reason why. She provided me with her own product line of skin care samples after the visit. I am very impressed with the whole spa as well as the team of professionals. I wished I lived closer and could visit more often. ps- They had a birthday cupcake, candle and all for me as well. I love Renewal Spa!!! and so does my husband. :)

My visit to this very convenient Day Spa was fabulous!!! It is very well decorated and remarkably comfortable not to mention clean!! My facial was the very best I have had in years and I go regularly for roseaca which disappears with their treatment. My sense is this Spa is open to really serve their customers well and their prices for all their many services are very resonable! The aesthetician is simply without words for those who want a real facial and not just a swipe & hottowels... my hat is off to this business.!!

After moving here a year ago, I couldn't find an aesthetician that I liked. I finally knowledgeable and trustworthy ones at this spa. While I get routine facials, I've started trying new services. The LAM PROBE was very rewarding. I'm pale so broken capillaries stand out on my face. The service took less than an hour and the recovery was about 7-10 days but the results were great! Friends even commented on my complexion. I will do 1 more treatment to handle a stubborn vein near my nose but all the thin spidery ones are gone. I'm also a huge fan of the MICRODERMABRASION-fine sand paper to your face. I have some discoloration (fm sun) along the side of my face and fine wrinkles. This service evens out my complexion and rejuvenates my skin. Will do more after summer. I can't say enough about the product line. I have consistently used Kinerase at double the cost of the spa's DERMA ELITE line. I decided to try the Cellular Repair cream and was do pleased with the results that I've totally switched to DermaElite (and now save half of what I was spending). I can't recommend this spa enough. They are client focused and their retention level seems high. The even run specials for their regular clients.

I almost didn't write this review because my experience at Renewal Day Spa was so luxurious that I sort of want to keep the place my little secret. I have been to several spas and nothing else compares to Renewal. Kristen has magical hands and gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. I was very tense walking in and was jello when she finished. She even gave me some stretching tips for those tense places. The very talented and knowledgeable (owner), Tang, performed my custom facial. My face was so radiant that I walked out and went shopping without any makeup - something I would never normally do! The nail techs are excellent at their craft. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing and the spa is beautifully decorated. The staff is curteous and professional and seem to really care about your well being. I will definitely be going back for more facial treatments and to try the custom product line, Dema Elite. My 19-year old daughter, who joined me, also had a wonderful experience and will be seeing Tang again soon for acne treatments. Renewal Day Spa is a rare gem. If you are looking for a spa in the Richmond area, this is, hands down, the absolute best in town.

Tang, the owner of this fabulous salon, did acne facials for me and they have helped sooooooo much!!! I highly recommend her if you are having severe acne problems. I am 19 years old and tried everything from pills to proactiv. Nothing worked until i completely changed my diet and started Mrs. Tangs' acne treatments. If you want a clearer, healthier looking skin then go to Renewal Day Spa! :)

I purchased my wife a gift certificate to this spa on-line based on the reviews and it turned out perfect. She said it was such a memorable experience and that the staff was professional and courteous. The price was reasonable.

I just returned from the spa after using a special ....two treatments for only $100. I have used this spa several times over this year. I have tried others and this beats them all. The atmosphere is one of profesional, and focused on your needs. Christine gave me an incredible Deep Tissue Massage and Tang, the owner , gave me a luxurious Facial. i'm sold on this spa and have told everyone I know about it. As I was leaving I saw my sister in the waiting room. Can't wait to get her opinion on it.

I have been going to the Spa every year and each time I want to come again and again. the place is very relaxing and amazing, that people are nice and friendlly and kind. Each time I get a chance to go, that staff do not change on how they try to make me feel welcome.

I visited this spa about three weeks ago for a facial with Tang and two weeks ago for a body exfoliation and massage with Jamilla. Both times were relaxing and well needed. The staff is amazing. The atmosphere is just right. I like the feel of the spa as soon as I enter the spa; it's inviting. Tang also sells her own products in the spa. She used her products during my facial. She gave me samples. I liked her products so much that bought her products. I am very pleased.

I was at ReNEWal Day spa for a facial, massage, eyebrow waxing, manicure and pedicure. Everything was wonderful, but the facial was especially great. The technician, who runs the spa, had so much experience and expertise, and personally tailored my facial to deal with my skin care needs. It's been almost a week and my skin is completely clear and still looks refreshed. I am totally coming back!

Renewal spa has been an amazing experience not only for my husband and myself, but for my 16 y.o. son and 22 y.o. daughter as well. Each one of us has a different skin type and the staff at renewal spa has conquered each of our skin issues. My young adult children had different acne issues one moderate, one severe, and the turnaround in their skin is so wonderful to see. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very accomodating to our schedules. Great location, easy to find and a beautiful, updated facility.

I received a gift certificate from my husband for this spa. I had never been to Renewal or heard anything about it. I was hesitant because my spa experiences in Richmond have been hit or miss. But, this spa eased my fears. When I walked in, I was highly impressed with the waiting area. The owner greeted me and immediately had me fill out my information form and offered me something to drink. My wait time was less than five minutes - and I showed up early! I got a deep tissue massage from Dennis and a spa pedicure from Tang, the owner of Renewal. They both did an excellent job!!!! What impressed me the most is the staff and their customer service. I could tell they were genuinely friendly and management was working along with the staff. You don't find that often! They took every opportunity to promote other services, but they were not pushy about it. Just informative. The decor of the spa speaks relaxation. The waiting area was nice an quiet. In fact, the service areas were quiet as well. I highly recommend this spa. You definitely get your money's worth and you leave with a smile on your face.

Renewal Day Spa's new location is absolutely gorgeous! The new area is client friendly and convenient for both shoppers and diners. I was incredibly impressed with the classy, charming and inviting new look. In addition, the hallway gave the sensation I was in an actual palace. As always the service was professional and given with a smile. The staff was well verse in their area(s) of expertise and the owner personally made me feel welcome. I left feeling more confident with corrective skincare actions and useful tips from the massage therapist.

Renewal has always been a great place to go- fair prices, excellent service, great variety of services- but the new location makes it even better! It used to be about a block away from where it is now, and that location was impossible to get in and out of because of the traffic on the main road and no stop light. The new place is in a bigger shopping center with easier access. The staff is amazing and I felt pampered the entire time I was there. Definitely recommend this place to anyone! It's more low-key than some of the bigger names but it allows for unique products and better service, and it's easier to get an appointment!

My wife and I both appreciate massages, we have been back once already and realy appreciated the work of the therapist. I prefer deep tissue and my wife enjoys healing massage. I recommend Jamela for deep tissue and Anka for relaxing massage. We are now regulars and very happy clients.

I highly recommend this spa. I love to get a facial here and my husband loves to get a massage. It's something fun we can do together. There are other spas closer to where we live but we tried them and none are as good as this one. It's located off of Midlothian in a strip mall that does not look like much but when you walk into the spa you realize that it's a clean, relaxing environment . Maybe that's how they keep their prices so reasonable. All I know if that the service is great and the owner Tang has done a wonderful job with this spa. She and her husband took it over 2 years ago and expanded the services. Other reviewers have said it's hard to find. It is hard to see it from Midlothian but don't let that stop you. Call for directions. You'll find it was worth it.

The spa experience was a gift from my Fiance. We couldn't find the location but a quick call was all we needed. The staff were very polite and understood that this was my first time at a spa.. I never had a facial, manicure or pedicure. Tia explained the process to me and answered any questions I had. it was hard getting used to at first but by the end of the day I was fully relaxed. I have no complaints and the staffs (even the receptionist) made me feel special. I'm sure to recommend this spa to my friends, family and anyone else

I don't know what problems that other reviewer has. I've been to both day spa's and resorts around the country- and although it's not a resort spa (it doesn't pretend to be)...as day spas goes- the quality was fabulous. My husband and I came in for a couples package and we had a wonderful time. Not only were the massages among the best we've had- My facial was done by Celeste- and I've NEVER had a better facial. She really cares and it shows! One thing is true- it's a bit hard to find- but using mapquest (which you can get by clicking "find us" on their web site) made finding them pretty easy. I liked it so much I joined their Spa Club- Now that's their best kept secret. Now I get all my massages and facial and anything else I want at half off! I love IT!
