Great visual & scented ambiance. Received a nice tour as an introduction to the location. Absolutely enjoyed the hot tub soak & moment in the sauna to start. It was a wonderful inclusion to prepare for the massage. My mom & I both enjoyed skilled massage therapists, with great results.

I had my first visit to Betty's Bath and Day Spa this weekend. I've heard nothing but positive reviews about Betty's and they were spot on - the place really is top-notch in services, atmosphere, professionalism, everything.
I had a one-hour massage on a Friday night and it was a great way to end the week. Make sure to get to Betty's early so you can enjoy the complimentary outdoor tub and sauna. Betty's is located in the North Valley and the sky is beautiful at night - very quite and not as many city lights as the rest of Albuquerque. My massage was great as was the therapist, a young man named Cyrus - I would definitely request him in the future. Also, they use a really great smelling massage oil that you can purchase in the boutique, they also have a scent-free oil if that is more your thing. The showers also have Betty's products to use! Nice to be able to try before you buy.
Betty's really is as great as everyone says it is. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying the different treatments available at this reputable, relaxing spa.

This is the best spa in town...& trust me, I've tried many! Great service & you leave feeling relaxed...which you are supposed to. I recommend adding a 15 min hot oil scalp massage at the beginning of your body massage...you'll thank me later!! IT'S BEYOND RELAXING!!!

Most of the time I go to get a massage I stay with the staff that is chosen at my appointment time. This time I had to change the "therapist" whose energy was frantic and shallow. I was surprised due to a friend recommending the Spa. Go with your gut: if you are uncomfortable with the person to assist you, ask for another's availablity. I was told I would have to wait - and I used that time to relax, calm myself and open up to a nice massage. It happens

This place was delightful and peaceful. When you check in for your appointment the front desk staff will give a robe and slippers and show you the changing room where you can change clothes and lock your belongings.
The changing room has plenty of lockers, a few showers, and a large vanity and mirrors, so you may dry your hair and touch up your make-up.
If you arrive early, you may shower and go out to the hot tub in a private garden. There you may relax until it is time for your appointment. It is quite peaceful.
When I went inside to wait for my therapist, the waiting area was not quite as private as I thought it would be from the front desk area. There was just a pull screen to separate the client from the other patrons leaving the establishment.
The therapist was very professional in demeanor. He did ask about my trouble spots (neck and back) but did not ask if I had any allergies to nuts, oils or fragrances. That was basically my only concern. The therapist used myofascial techniques and trigger point therapy. I have to say the massage ended way too soon.
When the massage is over, you are offered a refreshing drink - water or a tea. You may also go back out to the hot tub and relax if you wish.

Betty's is a great spa - my favorite in ABQ. I wish I could give them 4.5 stars, since I probably wouldn't give 5 for anything short of miraculous. Many spas are more concerned with their exclusivity and appearance than with your experience. On the contrary, Betty's is always welcoming; the atmosphere is comforting and relaxing; the therapists are friendly and talented. The free tub and/or sauna soak really makes the experience complete. They have a great range of stuff in their lobby shop as well - love the Skeem candles and custom Theobroma chocolates (what better with spa than chocolate?) ;) But I digress. I would love to see them add another tub to have privately during the day - the only privately-available tub is the free-access tub during the day - and a larger/more private lounge area. Every time I'm there I have an evil little wish that they'd kick out the yoga studio (they share the building) and expand. A few more services on the menu would be nice, especially a nail tech as mentioned by another reviewer - though they do have a nice menu. Last but not least - a personal favorite - they do offer a couple massage-type treatments (such as the Extremities treatment) for those of us who would rather not strip to the buff to get our spa on. ;)

I love this spa for a number of reasons. They have a great tub outside for soaking before or after your treatments. I love to go in the evening under the stars and then have a nice massage. They have a pregnancy table which I really enjoyed during my pregnancy when I was wanting to lie on my tummy. The therapists I have had have all been excellent. The downside to this spa is that I usually like to get a manicure and pedicure with my girlfriends and they don't do those at Betty's. Great massages, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere.
