Apparently, no experience is necessary...

I don't think that the staff at Jolie has any training whether it be the front desk, massage therapist, aestetician etc. They all seem like they just walked in, filled out an application, were hired and put on the floor. I asked some specific questions about my massage and facial~ I got different answers from each person I asked. I have VERY sensitive skin and NONE of them were able to tell me what was in the products they were using or if those products were appropriate for my skin. I believe this not only makes this a bad spa, but a dangerous one.

This Spa has poor customer service

I went to this spa for a couple's package. My husband was getting a deep tissue massage from Dominic, follow by a facial. His massage was acceptable, but our facials were significantly less than acceptable. Clients changes clothes and put on the robes in changing room, where you have lockers to put your clothes and lock. After my facials, I was walked into the changing room by my facial person and she closed the door behind me. As I was changing, a woman staff walked in without knocking on the door. She just simply swing my door wide open! Then within 10 sec another lady (this is a client), knocked on my door, and said "well, my stuff is in there too!". I opened the door this time, and ask her to wait for 1 min. I myself has really just walked in, because my facial person just walk me into the changing room. At that point, i had 2 choices, invite this other person to come in "who indicated her stuff is also in the same room", or politely ask her to wait for me to change in 1 to 2 min. I quickly put on my clothes, (which is just 1 pair of jeans and a sweater, and put on my shoes). Then i said to her "it's all yours". She replied thank you and suggested that I took over her changing room space because she needed to get to her things when i was in there. I assumed most people who are polite would wait their turn because the room is small, and it really just fit 1 person. I called the spa this morning, and ask them if they can put up a sign to ask the client to wait their turn if there is someone already inside the changing room. They said they cannot do that because it is the corporate level policy to decide what sign can go up. I find this very un-intelligent. They did not apologize but instead, they said it is the client's fault because they believe it is the client's fault. I ask them if they can post any sign outside the changing room to wait or take their turn. I believe most clients go to facials for a relaxing experience. But imagine after you facial, you are being rush like this, and told that you are occupying someone's space. Other than this experience, the actual facial was not great, but not bad. My facial therapist was able to get some of my blackheads out, but did not complete the extraction process. I had to ask her to do the extraction because her next client were waiting outside. ( Note that I arrive 30 min early because I walked with my husband to the spa, and his massage appointment was 1 hour prior to our facials). I called the spa this morning, and the receptionist just said "they cannot put up any sign", and there is nothing they can do". Then since we are clients, there is nothing we can do either because we cannot go inn and put up a sign for them. I would not recommend this spa to anyone. It is the worst experience i have. If you are looking for a relaxing experience, I would recommend that you choose another spa.

I visited Jolie based on the recommendation of a friend, it was a great experience. I had a 9am appointment and did not have to wait to be served. I received a massage and pedicure and they were both the best I've ever had. I will definitely go back again.

After a decently relaxing Sat a.m. massage I try to leave and there is no attendant at the booth in the parking garage of the building where Jolie has their free parking (In downtown Bethesda if you have free parking you use it) so in essence I was trapped. (Fire Marshall ??) Long story short after a few phone calls and about 15 minutes the attendant returned and raised the gate so we could leave but I wish the manager, who was very nice in the follow up on this, had gone a little further to resolve it so that I and the other customers were not the ones to be punished in the problem. Offering me a free future massage to compensate me for the ruined relaxation of this one would have been nice.
