Cynthia's Fabulous Pedicure
By NinaL | February 20, 2013

I've always liked this spa. Overall I would give them four stars. More on that below. They get five stars now because of the fabulous pedicure I had with Cynthia. She's says she's new to the spa, but she is certainly talented. She put me at ease immediately and from the beginning to the end of the pedicure (I was so relaxed I fell asleep) she was delightful and obviously has a passion for what she does. I've been to the Asian chop shops where you feel like you are a unit on an assembly line. This was so different. I felt nurtured! My pedicure was beautiful. I am wiggling my toes with glee. Fortunately, I didn't fall asleep until after the leg and foot massage. Ohhh, was that fabulous. Cynthia is a massage therapist too (although not at this spa). I could feel the difference! She knew what she was doing and it was more and better than any pedicure massage I've ever had. When my feet feel great, so does the rest of me. I'd book her everyday if I could afford it. I've always liked this spa. The relaxation room and changing room are all nicely done with plenty of room and good amenities. Overall, I've always been pleased with the service providera. Some massage, facial, pedicure, manicure therapists have been better than others but overall always a quality experience. I wish that you could go straight back to the relaxation room to wait for your attendant but can understand why they make you wait in the lobby/shop area. The plastic flops are not very comfortable but very sanitary so I see the reason for them. The walk-in shower is great. As are the plushy robes and neck and shoulder lavender-scented wraps.

Quite possibly the best pedicure ever

I believe this was the best pedicure I have ever had! I have never fallen asleep during a pedicure, but it was so relaxing, so peaceful and so restful, that I just floated. I have never had a pedicure in a zero gravity chair with heated neck wrap, and lavender-scented eye pillow. Just amazing. I highly recommend this day spa and thank Bethany for a wonderful treatment.

Tranquility and Relaxation

I have tried spas in big cities and mom and pop spas from various places, including vacation destinations such as Tahoe and Maui...Coldwater Creek Spa at Montgomery Village is my favorite place to getaway for a facial and/or massage. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing, service has always been great in my experience, and it's not too over the top fancy, rather it feels quaint and professional. Definitely recommend this place whether you are a local or on a vacation! Another plus is that they offer a variety of spa products with natural ingredients and nice quality items to purchase as gifts too.

I booked a facial for my cousin who was visiting from England and myself. The facials were custom to our skin types and the massages were great. Very relaxing and we both left with better skin! My cousin's skin was so great that it looked like she had botox. Amazing! I have since booked a return visit for a peel.

Nice, but felt rushed

Everything in the treatment room (nails, facial, massage) was exceptional but it was tough to relax in the other areas of the spa. The front desk was overwhelmed and even the techs seemed frazzled in the hallways - and I was there on a midweek morning. The fair prices for the services offered will get me to book the next appointment.

A wine country treat

I love this spa. It makes me feel like I am far away in some 5 star hotel's retreat. You arrive early for a eucalyptus foot soak. The locker room is rustic but pampering. The rooms have comfortable massage tables with luxurious sheets. the technicians leave you with notes on recommendations for the future. It is a little pricey, but a great special treat.

This is one of the only places I can go to escape! Coldwater Creek not only takes care of me from the moment I walk in to when I check out, but they do it with such grace and ease. The attitude at the spa is inviting and caring. The services are also great. I love coming to the spa for massages and pedicures. The ultimate pedicure is the absolute best thing going, but if you don't have 80 minutes to spend, the essential pedi is quite nice too. I love this little hidden oasis in Montgomery Village!

This spa continues to exceed expectations every time I visit. The front desk staff is friendly, knowledgable and welcoming from when they book your appointment to when you pay for your service. The therapists are caring and professional and they always do an amazing job. I have never had one bad experience at this spa, the staff makes it feel like home. I highly reccomend to anyone in need of a blissful day of pampering!

This spa exceeded my every expectation. From the minute I arrived and checked in to check out. I had an great foot soak and warm neck wrap before my massage that made my day. The massage itself was the best I have ever had and the facility was clean and bigger than I expected, with nice amenities.

Not so Great anymore

I use to love this spa and would drive out an hour and a half just to get to them but never again. The service there has completely gone down hill. The front staff (Ashley) was on the phone and didn't even acknowledged my mother and I. She started to help someone else that came way after us. She completely ignored us. That is not how I want to start my spa day. It just ruined the whole experience and is completely unacceptable. When I would go out there I would have a full spa day and sometimes invited a group of family member to have a girls day out. That is for sure they lost a great customer.

Everything was great from the massage to the scrub to the facial and the best of all the ultimate pedicure. It by far has been the best spa experience I've ever had. It left me feeling like I was in heaven. I'm coming back for sure.

Poor Service, Over priced

At a spa part of what I look for is that the service is good, not rushed and my ability to relax. The actual services differed than what i had been told on the phone to start. I was bumped back because they were running late which would have been fine if my treatment would have been stellar. The ultimate pedicure was less than ultimate for $80 and 80 minutes you would think your feet would look and feel great. My treatment only lasted 60 minutes, and 20 of those 60 were spent with my feet unattended. The polish job was flawed, and I had to listen to inter work gossip as I tried to relax. Grated I was discounted 20% after I complained but in my opinion it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I wouldn't go back.
