About Spa 190
Spa 190 focuses on holistic, natural, and organic treatments. The spa's Zen-inspired atmosphere is complemented by water features, soft upholstered walls, and fresh flowers. This intimate spa has four treatment rooms including a couple's suite with a fireplace and steam shower. Clients can enjoy complimentary teas, wine, or champagne and natural snacks in the relaxation lounge. Treatments include massage, body rituals, skin therapy, acne treatments, chemical peels, foot baths, and paraffin treatments. Holistic services such as reflexology, ear candling, and meditation are also available. The signature Bamboo Body Cleanse incorporates a body scrub of crushed bamboo with green tea and lemongrass, a rain shower, and full-body massage. Spa 190 hosts charity events, skin and body care seminars, and meditation sessions.

Went there for a deep tissue in July 2012. Absolutely loved it. The lounge was cozy & the comfy robe that we changed into was a nice touch. The massage room was big, dimly lit w the perfect background music. The bed was heated & the warm blanket they covered me in was perfect. I can't remember the name of the therapist, but she was Indian & great. Plan to go back this month with hubby for their valentines month specials!!

I love this spa, but it is a little too expensive. It would be nice if they could have specials from time to time. They are very nice and have a great facility. I have gotten massages and facials done there many times. I always have had an achey back, and I swear after their massages I feel like a new person.

I have visited this spa 3 times over the past few years. Twice with my mother for massages and mani-pedis and once for a hair cut. Each time the experience has been extremely enjoyable. It is a relaxed environment with exceptionally friendly staff. I will definitely be back again.

I first went to Spa 190 for my cousins birthday spa party. We had the entire spa to ourselves since there were four of us and it was amazing to have a private space where we could be ourselves without annoying any other guests. The services were amazing and the staff was excellent. We booked a mothers day spa party before we left that day. The mothers day spa party was today and our moms can't stop ranting and raving about the entire experience. My mom was a spa virgin until today and now I've created a monster, we all can't wait to go back, I've already started plans for my birthday in July! If you go, the hot stone massage is a must try! I went for a massage with David last weekend. It was fabulous. I told him where my trouble spots were and he knew exactly what to do. I walked out feeling great. The small waiting room area is nice with a variety of teas and water, and the entire spa was perfectly clean. I liked it so much I booked another massage 2 weeks later! A nice perk is the spa is connected to a salon, and the spa treatment comes with a complimentary shampoo and 20% off a blow out. My only complaint is that during part of my massage I could hear a few ladies chatting rather loudly.

I have been to Spa 190 on a number of occasions, and each time I look forward to the pampering and relaxed atmosphere. I have had the most wonderful facials with two different aestheticians and a foot reflexology. My sister has had a couples massage and raved about it. The place is spotless, and the staff is warm and welcoming. No attitudes here, and no pushy sales talk.
Each holiday I ask for a gift certificate to Spa 190. My birthday is coming up, so I'll start dropping hints now.

My husband and I are new parents as such I decided to book a couples massage for a Christmas present at Spa 190 for some much needed R&R. They had great prices and wonderful reviews. What an amazing experience from beginning to end. The surroundings are serene and the massage therapists were wonderful. I also liked that they offered us a man and a woman to decide which one we wanted at the time of the service. Never were we pressured to by any products. My husband was so relaxed that he ended up falling asleep and snoring through most of the service. The therapist politely giggled and said "we lost one" in a hushed tone. We ended the service with a Bellini and felt like we were walking on air. This is my new go to spa and I look forward to trying their salon as well.

After they mixed up my first scheduled appt I was disappointed that I had to wait until the following weekend. Upon my return visit, I had already presumed that it was not going to impress me, due to their mishap from the week before. With sounds of blow dryers and chatter in their busy salon, I doubted that my facial and massage would be a relaxing one. And since I had purchased them thru groupon, I was relieved that I didn't spend a lot either.
Well, as soon as you enter the spa section, you are transported to a whole different environment that is soothing and calm, with sounds of waterfalls and glorious aromas that make you want to just drop everything and stay. Even tho I was enjoying this new area I was not sold on it yet. Well I was dead wrong!! This place is a gold mine! My facial was amazing as well as my massage! These people know what they're doing and they do it very well! I normally do not write reviews, but this place is such an exception I felt obligated. Especially since my expectations were so low based on an appt. glitch. All is forgiven, hey we all make mistakes! My only regret now is going back paying full price, which is double the groupon price! Otherwise I'd def be there several times per month!

I had Four Hands w/ Scalp Therapy Masage for 2 hours. It was heavenly. Thank You David & Jenny. The staff and atmosphere are wonderful, very inviting. Definitely Better than Red Door And Body Works. The Prices are a little high, but I would expect this from spa that is just unbelievable. I have been to Red Door at 6 times (Once in Harrah's Atlantic City and 5 times to Garden City NY). I love Red Door, but this place beats Red Door hand and fist. The therapists here are very attentive and excellent, and have great skills. If you thinking of going, go, do not even give it a second thought... You do not know what you are missing.

I went for my first body wrap at Spa 190. I went for the Hungarian mud wrap, which they said is their most popular wrap treatment. It was pure heaven!
1. The ambiance was amazing. You walk into a bustling salon, and you wonder how you could possibly relax in such a bustling environment. But then you step through two doors, and it's like stepping through a time warp. There is soft music playing, the lights are dimmed, there are waterfall walls everwhere (literally) and you immediately feel at ease.
2. They give you disposable undergarments to wear during the treatment, which was great, because I was worried about how difficult it might be to wash the mud out if I had to wear my own undergarments during the treatment.
3. The table was warm and inviting, but not too hot. It was perfect.
4. Stacy did my treatment and she was amazing. She had a very light tough, which was great, because I have very sensitive skin.
5. After they apply the treatment to your body and wrap you up, they give you a head massage. Stacey's head massage was so gentle and so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep. In addition, she cleared my sinuses!

I had David for a one-hour massage. He was fantastic! He listened to my concerns and what I had asked for, and then he told me what he thought would best work for me, and he was so right! The spa was clean and beautiful, and the changing rooms were private. Very peaceful environment. Can't wait to go back again!

I received a 90 minute massage as a gift from my daughter. It was terrific. The masseuse gave me a combo of swedish and deep friction massage which I requested. She asked about tension areas on my body. My neck and shoulder were bothering me so she spent more time in that area. She was amazing. I was completely relaxed. The massage rooms are immaculate. I would recommend this spa to everyone.

Spa 190 was fantastic for my friend's Bachelorette Party. There were four of us there and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was very accomodating to us (preferences for therapist and timing), everyone was relaxed and refreshed afterwards!
They could use more space, but it is a very quiet and comfortable area. The staff was welcoming and helpful.
I would love to go back there again, as well as the rest of the party!
PS: The nail tech was WONDERFUL! Best mani/pedi I have had in a long time.

Went to spa 190 after receiving a gift certificate from my children. Had a one hour Swedish massage with Bridgette. Very good- knew just how to work out the knots n my back without causing pain. I had a 60 min swedish massage. The service was excellent from start to finish. I was greeted immediately and escorted to the spa to change into my robe and slippers. The massage was excellent!! I forgot my therapist's name( I think Jennifer) but she was fantastic. Hands down my best massage ever. She constantly checked in with me to make sure the pressure was good and I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. I would definately return again.

I went with my boyfriend for our Valentine's day treat, and it was that and more. It had a very Zen like quality between the lighting, decor and soft trickle from the waterfall. We shared a nice hot steam together to start off our experience. Next came the massage.....which really got all the kinks out, David and AJ were great! After the hour was up, we shared some tea and chocolate. It was a wonderful all around. It was our first time their and we would gladly do it again. Romance is not dead

I just have to write to thank your staff for an amazing spa experience today. From start to finish, it was extraordinary. When I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly by your desk staff, with such professionalism. The spa itself is absolutely stunning from the moment you walk in to see the water wall, and my three treatments were far and away the best I've had in 10 years.
I used to review spas for a living, so I have visited some of the best in the world. I can absolutely say that your spa is exceptional. What a hidden gem right here on Long Island! Stacy was kind, calm and extremely skilled. My sugar scrub and facial were beyond relaxing and done with such care. She truly allowed me to relax entirely and enjoy the experience thoroughly. David delivered a totally phenomenal massage, the likes of which I have not received in a decade. He, too, was kind, calm and amazingly professional.
I plan to tell everyone I know about your spa. I am so glad to have discovered it, and I know that Spa190 will be my go-to spa in New York from now on.

I treated my mother and myself to a day at the spa. The spa was very inviting and peaceful. A bit small, but when you closed your eyes to recieve the wonderful massage and facial, you were in awww!!!
I wasn't overly impressed by the manicure and pedicure, but the customer service was refreshing and the staff was very attentive. I cant wait to go back. Definetly would reccomend this spa.

If I could show you the dramatics of Bruno Tonioli and tell you how fabulous it was, it might give you a slight idea of how good they are! I've visited Spas from Florida to New York. My husband and I agree this one topped them all. We did the romantic getaway and face to face to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance was great. The spa was clean and the staff was professional and friendly. At no time did we feel rushed. At other spas we've felt rushed to leave after our services were done. We definitely plan on going back. The massage therapist was very nice and knew just what to do to remove the leg cramp knots from my leg and foot. She paid attention to what I told her and that really helped make the treatment not only relaxing but revitalizing. The spa was clean, the receptionist friendly and the environment lovely. I treated my mother and I for a day of beauty. The massage and facials were outstanding!!! Loved the spa and I cant wait to visit again. Will definetly reccommend Spa 190 to everyone!!! The manicure and pedicure I was not wowed. It was in the corner and I wasn't overly impressed. I thought it was going to be in the spa but we had to get changed then walk thru the hairsalon to get to the manicureing station. I would have liked to take a shower but no one made me aware that we would have to say it prior to arrival, to be given that room. Wouldn't splurge again for a manicure and pedicure but I would definetly visit the spa again. And this time I will ask for a shower room. :)

About six months ago I went to Spa 190 for a fill in. My friend told me about her Nail Tech Bridgette. What a wonderful experience. The manicure/pedicure station was VERY clean, comfortable and relaxing. Bridgette pays attention to detail. My nails looked great and I NEVER have lifting or peeling. I have been to many different Nail Technicians over the years, but Bridgette is by far one of the best out there. I highly recommend her.

I recently started visiting the spa once or twice a month and there is a reason for that....they are the most professional, pleasant spa in the tri state area. They treated my like VIP down to every last detail. The ambiance is incredible once you walk thru those doors all your cares disappear.
Stacy Kofskaois (I hope I spelled that correctly) blew me away with her skin care knowledge and bed side manner. I cannot thank her enough my skin has NEVER looked better.
Everyone is getting Spa 190 gift certificates for birthdays and holidays this year!

I saw the previous review when I logged on to check out Spa 190's deal day offers, and wanted to respond with my personal experience... I go to Spa 190 about once a month for massages and have always had a great experience. I also use the steam shower after my massage and never had a problem. Hey, everyone's entitled to have a bad day.

The staff was extremely nice. As soon as we walked we walked in we were offered mango mimosa's. How can it be bad? The staff was very nice and our spa mani pedi was very relaxing. The prices arent cheap but you feel like you were away, so it is worth it. The service was very solicitous. No hard sell.

My Mom and I just had massages with Elaina and facials with Stacy and they were both fantastic. Elaina went out of her way to personalize the massage to our interests and Stacy left my skin glowing and paired the facial with an extremely relaxing neck and shoulder massage. The spa itself is small but beautiful with private locker rooms and a nice relaxation area with tea and light snacks. My mom and I cannot wait to return! Thanks for a relaxing day! :) -LS

My mother and I had a wonderful experience at Spa 190! Having grown up in Brooklyn and currently living in Virginia, we had no idea how to get there. We did get a little lost and ended up arriving late. The staff person that I called for directions and to ask how our late arrival would affect our session was extremely courteous and friendly! When we arrived we checked in and our therapists came out to meet us. We were unable to receive our massages in the same room due to the late arrival. They made provisions so that we wouldn't have to cut the session short. They were very professional and the Swedish massages were heavenly. We were mistakenly overcharged, but the oversight was fixed without a problem. Despite it being further than expected and getting turned around, I would definitely visit again and try other services.

My husband gave me a valentine's day present for Spa 190. It was a nice surprise and turned out to be a great experience! From the moment I called to make the appointment the staff was welcoming and courteous !
I had the facial and massage combo which was exhilarating. It was hard to come back to reality as I walked out! I will definitely come back for more treatments!

Based on the reviews from this site, I finally tried Spa 190 for a massage & facial. I've been to spas many times in my life & have tried a number of spas on Long Island and Manhattan. The staff is very friendly but the service quality and my entire experience was just average. Definitely disappointed after reading the glowing reviews.

Four girlfriends and I reserve a spa getaway every year over Memorial Day weekend. This year, instead of going to a destination spa, we decided to stay locally and based on reviews in SpaFinder, chose Spa 190. We are glad we did. The treatments were fabulous, and the spa was really beautiful and very upscale. They offered complimentary fruit, champagne and other goodies, and we all had a great time. I especially recommend the Total Harmonizing Facial, which two of us had - it's a facial and massage combination - heaven! The rest of the girls had body treatments which they loved. They also offered us a complimentary shampoo and blowout in the salon, which was great as were were going out to lunch right after, and didn't have to go with messed up, oily hair. Overall, it was a fantastic day.

Last year for my birthday I choose to spend the day with my friends at Spa 190. We had such a wonderful experience there was no question in my mind where I would spend this years birthday. The atmosphere is so tranquil and inviting. I feel like I am on vacation from the moment they open the door. The aromatherapy surrounds you and takes all your stress away. There selection of services is extensive that I try something new all the time.

This spa is the prettiest spa on Long Island! Like a luxurious cocoon, with water walls, super plush robes, steam & rain shower - It's hard to go back to the real world after a great afternoon of pampering....I had an amazing massage and the signature facial was the best facial I've ever experienced!
