    Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Pure Spa's name reflects its philosophy of all-natural healing. A soothing, therapeutic atmosphere is established within the 1,400-square-foot facility by touches such as a stacked stone counter and a water wall. Signature facials, body treatments, and massage modalities use the spa's own skincare products incorporating essential oils and herbs. The Healing Rose Massage promotes skin health and radiance with Bulgarian rose oil and rose hip oil, along with juniper berry and grapefruit extracts. The Pure Spa Signature Facial integrates a vitamin-rich serum that is meant to nourish the skin and combat signs of aging. The Pure Spa Signature Pedicure incorporates a coffee scrub and chocolate creme. All treatments start with a foot soak and hot cup of herbal tea.

I have been a client of Pure Spa and like to frequent spas for massage and pedicures. However, after a poor customer service experience I decided that I had other options rather than return to Pure Spa. I purchased a multiple massage package and after 3 massages I discovered I was expecting. I notified the staff prior to my next appointment and was assurred that they would be able to accommodate me while I was pregnant. There was no discussion of extra fees for a "prenatal massage" and I assumed it would be part of the massage package which had already been billed to my credit card. Interestingly, there was nothing different that was performed during this massage. I have experienced prenatal massages and realize there are areas you can focus on and areas you must avoid. I was greatly disappointed, not only with the service but the treatment I received at the counter. I paid the extra amount but left very disatisifed and decided I would never return. I do recommend the anti-gravity chair for the pedicure, it is very nice and relaxing. However, you too can find this elsewhere. The spa is very small, I found it noisy at times but tolerable. The counter staff and owner were very pushy and it was just a huge turnoff for me.

I would like to thank the entire Pure Spa staff for the excellent pampering provided to my wife on her recent visit. I travel often and she has had many different spa experiences and she rated this among the best ever. She was most pleased with the pleasurable staff and the great hot stone massage given to her by Gayle. When we come back to Roanoke, she will be back to Pure Spa. Thanks again for the excellent service!

I had a Swedish Massage with Marcia and I must say, it was amazing! I have had massages before, a few where I'm from up in Northern Virginia and one on a cruise about 2 years ago, and I have never felt so relaxed and refreshed after a massage before. She started with a foot bath, which was great (she made sure the water was the right temperature first), and then I had my 60-minute massage. She made sure that the pressure of the massage was ok, but not in any sort of annoying way, which I have experienced before. I will definitely be returning to Pure Spa, as the atmosphere and everyone who was working there was welcoming and made an effort to make sure everything was perfect. It was a great spa experience, and was not any more expensive than I was used to.

My daughter gave me a spa gift certificate for Christmas. I got a spa package that included a massage, facial and pedicure. The spa is smaller than what I'm used to but the service was amazing. It was very clean. I bought the Vie deep wrinkle cream and I have to say I've seen a difference in the wrinkles on my forehead. I'm used to paying a lot more for spa services. I will definately go back again. I left feeling fantastic!

I've never been so pampered in my life. This place is wonderful. Roanoke deserves a spa like this. I had a Golden Facial and my skin has never looked so good. It's so good to have natural products that work better than the pharmaceutical grade products without the negative toxic effects. I'm coming back for the Golden Pedicure. I love this place.

I was treated to a man's facial by my co-workers for my birthday. At first I was reluctant but my nurse made the appointment so I felt obligated to go. I've been using the products Susie recommended for me and my skin is very soft. My wife loves it. The couple in front of me when I checked in kept talking about how wonderful the couples massage was so I treated my wife a few weeks later. It was better than the one we had on vacation at a 5 star resort. The spa is small but very intimate and relaxing. Both the massage therapist, Wendy and Christine, are awesome. We're weekly spa goers now and we love all the staff at Pure Spa. We like the fact that Mary, the owner , is at the front taking care of details and catering to us from the moment we walk in the door. I've heard they are a little bit pricier than some of the hair salons for massage but the quality is worth it. We don't mind paying for the extra pampering we get and we like having a place that carries high end skin care. My wife loves the Jane Iredale. I even heard Larry Dowdy on the radio this morning talking about what a great experience he and his wife had there. It's a first class place and we've recommended it to all our friends. We're so glad Roanoke has a place like this now.

I had an excellent experience at Pure Spa. I got their Golden Goddess Pedicure. My technician pampered me from start to finish. I was tilted back in a comfortable chair in a private room for my pedicure. She soaked my feet in a warm foot bath before she began the pedicure. Then, she placed a soft blanket over me, put a warm wrap around my shoulders, put a warm face mask on my eyes, and put warm booties on my feet. I was in heaven. My nail technician, Marcia, was also a certified massage therapist. In addition to painting my nails, she massaged my legs and feet. It felt so good! Marcia was very attentive to me, inquiring about the pressure of her massage and asking if the room temperature was comfortable. I could tell that she really wanted me to have a good experience. She softened away my bunions and rough skin. I chose a bright pink nail polish with safflower oil in it. It has been over a week and my nails are still looking good. The polish hasn't chipped. I've been wearing opened toed shoes just to show off my feet! Every time I look down at my bright pink toes, I feel good about myself. This service was an excellent value for the money. My spa time really helped to renew me and improve my self-esteem.

The spa is very attractive in general, but a bit small in that you can hear other people while you are in a room. The massage was wounderful, the facial was nice and so was the pedicure. The manicure was nothing special, the nail polish used needed to be replaced the next day, there was only about 7 nail color options most being a light cream or pink. I felt like products were being pushed from the moment I walked through the door, and any products I used ( very costly ones and dermotologist recommended) were put down. The spa package was the most expensive one I've ever purchased, I looked into pricing the different options alone and it would have been cheaper, the one hour massage was great but very expensive if I wanted to return for just that. When looking into other spa's in Roanoke other spa's packages are cheaper, and of the same quality. I believe this spa is newly open and has some kinks to work out but has the potential to be great.

I was treated to a Hot Stone Massage at Pure Spa by my girlfriend. I didn't think I would like it but after I got there I was blown away. Now I know why everyone is talking about it. You feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. There are fountains on the wall with nice aromas in the air. I've NEVER experienced anything like it and I've gotten massages in resort spas. My massage therapist was Christine and she rocked. She gave me a true massage not just a rub. After I got home I slept better than I have in months. I really got my money worth. I'll be back.

My wife and I had a couples massage at Pure Spa last weekend. The massage therapist were both outstanding. Unlike other places we have been, we didn't feel rushed. They cared about our well being and took time to find out about our whole health. This is the first time I've ever been given a foot bath before a massage. The products they used were wonderful. They massaged our feet after the foot bath with an oil that had gold in it. It was more than amazing. As soon as I stepped into the spa with the candles, aromatherapy and soothing music, I immediatley felt relaxed. I've been to resort spas that didn't have the atmosphere that this spa has. If you are into spas, you must try Pure Spa in Roanoke, Virginia.

I've always traveled outside the area for my spa treatments because I couldn't find a spa in Roanoke. From the first moment I walked into the door at Pure Spa, I was blown away. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. She even brought me a warm shoulder wrap to warm me from the cold outside and it felt wonderful! My technician was from Europe and very well trained in skin care. The details are remarkable. She even gave me a foot massage using reflexology with my facial. Before I found Pure Spa I traveled to Las Vegas to get Phytoceane and Fleur's. Not only is it great to have these french products and services availabe in Roanoke, but it's great to have a staff that is highly trained in using and recommending them. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone. It's worth the drive.

I have enjoyed the benefits of this spa and have decided to become a regular client due to the attentiveness of the personnel. The atmosphere is amazing. It is beautifully decorated, quiet, and very relaxing to be there. I have had 2 facials and will continue the visits based on several things. My skin feels and looks amazing, the results of the facials and products recommended have surpassed my expectations. The owner, Mary, represents her spa and products wonderfully. When I first met her, I realized that she knows what she is talking about when it comes to skin care, her skin is her best advertisement. The PureSpa products are absolutely amazing, you can feel the benefits immediately. I highly recommend the services and products that this spa offers.

I was greeted at the front door by a very friendly staff member. She served me hot herbal tea while I completed my assessment. I was then escorted into a beautiful room filled with aromatheraphy and given a foot bath. My therapist was very interested in my well being ... not just my symptoms. During my facial, I received a wonderful hand and foot massage and my feet were then placed in warm booties. It felt wonderful on my tired feet. Afterwards, I was given French Mineral Water while she prepared my take-home regimine. The product she used was a French product line that was fabulous. She also customized a special formula using thier private, exclusive skin care line. I was then given a complementary make over using Jane Iredale Mineral Skincare Makeup. It was obvious she was highly trained because my skin looked natural. The best part is that I only paid $75 for the facial and I was there almost two hours. I felt like I was in a luxury hotel. I would gladly recommend it to others. I'll be back each month when I'm in town.
