I am just home from my second massage given by Kelly at the Sherborn Day Spa. I had been putting off trying to find a good masseuse because it is so costly, especially when one is given a subpar massage. But finally my leg and back pain put me on the search again. When I called to make the appointment I was hesitant to have a massage given by women. At this point in my life I had only received good massages from men and didn't feel that women had the endurance for deep muscle work. While the receptionist said I could have a man masseuse, she encouraged me to give Kelly a try. I considered the benefits of my experience with men masseuses versus an underlying discomfort of having a male masseuse and decided to give Kelly a try. I AM GLAD I DID. KELLY IS FANTASTIC!! I LITTERALLY HAVE TEARS OF JOY AT THE RELIEF I FEEL WHEN SHE IS DONE. She so understands muscles and where and how to work on the painful areas. She is also professional and kind. What a great combination. The spa is pricey but one really does get what they pay for. I too recommend booking appointments in advance to get the discount.

I have been to the sherborn day spa twice and have NOT BEEN IMPRESSED AT ALL! I find the staff moderately friendly and the services overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere is more like a hair salon than a true spa experience. No one offers drinks, and there is nothing to munch on. I was pregnant the first time I visited, and I was scheduled for a massage and pedicure. I had to leave to grab some crackers across the street to make it through both treatments. I dont expect a full course meal, but some fruit, crackers, etc. to tide you over would be nice.
My first experience was for an eyebrow wax, and the technician was sick as a dog! She was coughing and sniffiling throughout the treatment which was inches from my face. The poor girl really needed to be home, not spreading her germs to her clients.
I just was put on hold at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. After waiting for several minutes it went to a staff managers voicemail. I'm just trying to book an appointment. No thanks, I will take my business elsewhere.

I got married in October of 2009 and my bridal party surprised me with a spa day. All of us had multiple services - we had a blast. I never though that in central Massachusetts there could be such a top noch spa. A fantasic time - clean, peaceful and a very professional staff. I especially liked that the massage area was separate from the other services like nails.

I was desperately in need of a theraputic massage for recently diagnosed TMJ and severe migrane headaches from work stress. I found the Sherborn Day Spa and recently completed 6 weeks of once a week 1 1/2 hour deep tissue massages with Kelly Love. The results are incredible ! My headaches have stopped and my dentist told me my TMJ symptons have greatly improved. The Sherborn day Spa is clean, elegant and the massage rooms are comfortable, with warm tables, comforting music- water sounds and spa shower available after the massage if preferred. Kelly is a fantastic massage therapist with strong fingers and an excellent technique. I highly recommend you ask for her. She is professional and really works on the areas you need most. I can't say enough about how much her massages have made a huge difference in my life. I hope to continue as long as I can afford to. They do offer a 10 % discount if you book 4 appointments in advance, which is worth doing if you are going to do more than one massage. Give Kelly a try- you won't be disappointed.
