I took my nieces here for their first manicure and pedicure and received the most horrendous service. They took the girls back, put their feet in the tubs and then left them there for 25 minutes before returning. After working on their feet for about 10 minutes, they covered them with towels and then disappeared for ANOTHER 25 minutes. I went to the front desk to see if they could help, to which I received the response "I am not sure what you want me to do about it." I then tried to find someone - anyone else - who worked there. Finally, I approached two women, asked if they worked there, to the response "Yeah, why?" As soon as I mentioned the long delay, the two technicians suddenly reappeared from their break room and went back to work.
On to the manicures... during the manicure, our technician was informed that her 5:00pm appt was here and getting angry - as it was now 5:30pm. From that point on, both technicians complained throughout the manicure about "these little girls getting pedicures and french manicures and designs and how is she supposed to be on time?"
When asked if they had a good time, the girls replied "Well I didn't really like the ladies, they complained A LOT and left A LOT."

Not too long ago, I went there for a treatment, and I found the atmosphere truly endearing, sunny, and friendly. Not only was my therapist good at what she did, but quite knowledgeable about the products, as well. She spent about 10 minutes of her valuable time, spanning through various lines and explaining to me their pros and cons. I found the personnel courteous, conscientious (of time and client needs), and open to sharing their wisdom regarding their training and healing methodologies. I would definitely recommend this salon and day spa to others, who either are or who are willing to drive/partake of the White Marsh area.

I went 1st time with a gift certificate. I received a expensive pedicure quickly and not so good at all. She was obviously had other things on her mind. Luck she talked to me at all. I ask if she was new and she said she had been there for a long time. It was so apparent that she did not want to be there at work. I was charged and given an envelope and ask if I was going to tip my pedicurist. I said NO I was not happy with the service or the price.
Prices are way to high and service WAY too bad. NEVER will I go again. I got a better pedicure from the little Asian shop near my home. Sorry to say.....

I was given a gift certificate and went in for a manicure for my first visit. I was given a poor manicure by a woman who claimed to have 23 years of experience. I could've done a better job at home. She rushed me in/out of her station so fast, my nails didn't dry properly. She was annoyed that I asked to to clean up the polish around my fingers. From receptionist to payment the services was rude.

I have gone to this spa for over 5 years now and even after moving almost an hour away, I will still drive down when needing an eye waxing or hair appointment. The spa treatments are a little pricey, however they are about the same price at any spa in the White Marsh area. I was pleased to learn from my hairstylist that the employers at the spa are required to maintain their education in their field and are encouraged to attend seminars and classes. They are always redoing the decor and seating to best fit their guests. I've taken my 5 year old there to get her nails done and we had a blast! I HIGHLY recommend this spa to friends and family.

Only visited this spa because they accepted spa finder. The waiting room is like sitting in a doctor's office. Hard chairs, some magazines and cheap decorations from target/wal-mart. My massage was rough, the same motions being repeated all over my body, no variety, nothing special. I have MS and use injections daily and told my therapist where my sites were she seemed attentive but them completely ignored what I had mentioned. I was shocked when she said she had been licensed for 20+yrs. I also recieved a "scalp massage" which felt more like someone just severly messing up my hair. Good thing I parked close because I was mortified at how I looked when I left. Of course there was no bathroom/spa room with a shower or anything. My massage was significantly overpriced and cost me close to $100! Do yourself a favor and go into the city for quality spa services.

I've been going to this spa for about 2 years now. I first started out just going to get pedicures but started having my hair cut and colored here about a year ago. I love my hair stylist Katie to pieces and have referred a few people to her. I've never had any issues here.

I received a "Spafinder.com" coupon for $50.00 off certain treatments at specific spas. Spa on the Avenue was listed as one of them, so I called and booked an appointment. Before doing so, I verified with the receptionist that they would honor the coupon. She wasn't sure what it was at first, I explained it was not a gift certificate, it was a coupon from Spa Finder. She put me on hold then came back and said it was valid and for me to decide what treatment I wanted and I could use the coupon to take $50.00 off. I booked a pedicure/massage ($81.00). When I arrived I tried to show the girl at the front desk the coupon, she said no problem, just bring it to us when you are done. The person who did the pedicure was absolutely wonderful, (Faith), and she and I talked of me coming back for regular pedicures in the future. I also gave her a $20.00 tip. When I checked out, there was a different girl at the front desk who wasn't pleasant at all, didn't recognize the coupon, I explained all of the above to her, she then called the "owner" who said they would not honor it and I had to pay the full amount. Knowing that I had called to verifiy this, etc, and was told something incorretly, the owner should have honored the coupon, I will not return there again. She may have collected the $50.00 from me, but with that kind of "customer service", I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there!!
